We had the good fortune of connecting with Josh Yeater and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Josh, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We had worked multiple summers for another company during college. When Justin and Jason graduated from college, we thought we could start our own company. Jason had graduated with a teaching degree so landscaping during summer break fit well for him. Justin graduated with a computer information systems degree but it was during the dot com crash so finding a job was a challenge, so this fit for him as well. I was still in college so I was free during the summers as well. After a few years, the business began to grow to the point that either we all do this full time or we stop doing it at all.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
All Terrain Landscaping is a family owned business. Myself, and my brothers, started All Terrain right out of college with nothing more than a shovel and a hard working attitude. We have had a lot of learning experiences throughout the years that have shaped us as a company. I believe we have gotten to where we are is a product of hard work and our unwillingness to fail. The thing I am most proud of is three brothers starting a business from nothing and turning it in to what it is today. Working with family can be challenging at times but the fact we have made it successful is a big accomplishment.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I think I would start with a trip to Breckenridge. Spend a couple days skiing and enjoying the town. Then, on the way home, I would make a stop in downtown Denver and probably stay at the Brown Palace because of its history in Denver. I think we would have stop at Stranahan’s and then a Bronco game. On the way back north, make a stop in Ft Collins and visit Odell’s brewery.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would like to thank the entire Yeater family. As a family, we all have learned to work together and help support one another.
