We had the good fortune of connecting with Junko Kazukawa and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Junko, how does your business help the community?
I am a personal trainer, endurance running coach, Fitness instructor, and an ultra runner My business is to promote Health and fitness, an active lifestyle to everybody. I coach endurance runners, not only for running programs but also strength and conditioning for all levels and ages. I organize the Run club at The Colorado Athletic Club Tabor, and often am a part of many panel discussions to share my experiences on running races, and also features on social media, magazines etc. I love to give some of my expertise on coaching, training, and also motivations to give a positive effect on people’s life and help achieving clients’ goals. I am a 2 times breast cancer survivor so that I can keep giving lots of hopes and inspirations to the people who are suffering from recovering illness or demotivation as long as I can keep on going to share my experience and guidance. I would love to help and influence the community with positivity and the fun aspect of being active and healthy through my knowledge and experiences of Health/ Fitness/ Training etc.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My brief background : I was born and raised in Japan, I came to Colorado to study Exercise science in the University by myself. I received my Master degree in Exercise Physiology, and started building up my career in the Health and Fitness field. I challenged myself to have many different experiences in the fields. I have instructed many exercise classes, conducted some workshops, worked as a Physical therapist aid, Cardiac rehabilitation internship, Corporate fitness/wellness specialist etc. With my experiences, I am now working as an owner of Junko Mountain Training-Endurance training coach and Fitness influencer, Personal trainer, Fitness instructor at Colorado Athletic Club at Tabor. I am an ultra runner and am a part of the Altra Red team and influencer. My passion is to promote and assist health, fitness, and wellbeing with an active lifestyle. I love helping people to achieve their fitness and Athletic goals by guiding with my knowledge and experiences. I have overcome many obstacles in my life ( still going on!!) – language barriers ( by being a foreigner) , 2 times breast cancer experience etc. I learned that challenging spirit and having goals/ dreams gave me the lots of positivities and brighten my life. That experience gave me a sense of confidence and led me to many great friends! With all help, I was able to achieve many of my life goals and survive illness. My story :https://www.irunfar.com/2021/
