We had the good fortune of connecting with Jurgis Plikaitis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jurgis, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I’ve been in the car business for a very long time. I’ve always had a great interest in cars, and so they naturally went on to inspire my further career. That inner passion toward automobiles has driven my way through the industry.
Everything started from founding A Better Bid: an online car auction marketplace that then laid the foundation for becoming co-founder of EpicVIN and AutoInspect.
At EpicVIN, we are offering vehicle history reports to car buyers and car dealers, available in the most convenient subscription format. We offer an unlimited number of reports each month for a subscription fee. All new clients have access to individual reports for those who do not wish to subscribe.
This year, we have also launched Epicar 2023, through which we connect car sellers with dealers directly and help them sell a car online.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What truly sets us apart at EpicVIN is the commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. We have learned that one’s team has to be in unison with the vision in front of them. That collective drive and reliability make it possible to surmount hurdles and goals attainable.
Other critical lessons learned are how being customer-oriented is so helpful. We have always been oriented toward the customer because understanding what they need and providing it to them allows us to solve their immediate problems. This helps in building long-term relationships and trust with our customers.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
When friends come to visit, I enjoy showing them around North Miami Beach and the local area. Of course, one of my favorite relaxing spots is Haulover Beach. For shopping, there’s nothing like Aventura Mall.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I would say, from books, one that could be remembered is “The Lean Startup” by Eric Ries. I really liked it because of how it emphasized agility and innovation in business development. Actually, it’s the only one that comes to mind because I haven’t been reading that much lately. And shout-out to the team: EpicVIN would not have been there without you.
