We had the good fortune of connecting with Justin Dennis and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Justin, what’s the end goal, career-wise?
When it comes to where I want my end goal to be, I don’t really have an exact answer. Now don’t get me wrong, I definitely have goals, like being financially free. I think that’s everyone’s end goal, right? Not to stress about finances. But everyones perception of financial freedom is different. I want to help people by creating jobs and opportunities where the employees are making a decent living and clients are getting quality. I guess my end goal would be building something bigger than me to create wealth and financial freedom for generations to come.
Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I am one of the Co-founders and Chief Revenue Officer of a veteran-owned security company called Zona Facta. Our goal is to provide quality services. We officially launched in late February of 2022, with just the 5 of us. We have since expanded to multiple states with over 150 employees and independent contractors who work with us. I couldn’t be more happy with the hard work and dedication that we put into the company. I would say our success is based off of hardwork, thinking outside the box, and always looking at other options. Also, combined our owners have decades of experience in the security industry and similar fields such as law enforcement and military. It sure hasn’t been easy and there have been plenty of mistakes. We’re improving the process and getting better every day. Being a business owner is something you just have to be passionate about. If not you will just burn out.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my friend came to vist, one of the first places I would take them is Sierra’s restaurant in the Denver Metro Area. Those steaks are amazing! Next we would have to do some hiking, I mean this is Colorado we’re talking about. Maybe in Boulder or Manitou Springs to do the Incline. Me being a sports car enthusiasts, we would have to go to some of the car shows that Colorado has to offer. I’d say we would have to get breakfast at Early Bird, their food is at the top of my list! Lastly, we would have to do some golfing to finish off the week.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
When it comes to the credit of my success, there are many people who deserve it. For starters, my father and mother for always pushing and supporting me! Also, to my fiancée (Dani-Lynn Balaty) and my son. They support everything I do. I can see how my son looks up to me and that motivates me to be better for him! When I felt like quitting, my fiancée would tell me to push through and it will all work out. They are a huge part of who I am and where I’m at.
