We had the good fortune of connecting with Katalina G and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katalina, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
Since forming my business in 2018, we have morphed into a full-service company. Our goal is to differentiate ourselves from other local companies by offering services all over Colorado. We do not have a specific service area, and thanks to our affiliated businesses, we are not limited to the type of services offered.
What should our readers know about your business?
COVID-19 has been our biggest challenge this year. The demand for dog walks have decreased due to customers working from home. Instead, customers have expressed the need for extended care. We’ve been able to adapt by offering adventure days, daycare, boarding, pet taxi, and grooming from our in-home facility. We are very fortunate to remain in business by expanding our service options through this experience.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If we were to show a friend (and their dog) around our preferred spots, we would take them to enjoy ice cream first; Em’s Ice Cream, Happy Cones, and Ba-Nom-A-Nom are our favorites. Next, we’d bring them to PinkTank Food Truck for a to-go meal, and coffee from ilCaffe. For the doggy activities, we’d take them to the West Arvada Dog Park and Cosmo’s Dog Bakery.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to mention Pawsitive PAC Creations LLC Dog Training, Prism Pets Co, and Valuable Gem Photography. Their involvement in our journey has helped Kat’s K9s expand into a successful, community-oriented pet care service.
