Meet Kate Bradway | Realtor & Mother

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kate Bradway and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kate, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Work life balance is very important to me. Since becoming a mother and raising littles over the last seven years my mindset has shifted tremendously when it comes to work. I used to work 6-7 days a week, non-stop, always grinding. I’d drive all over the Denver metro willing to assist clients far and wide. Early in my real estate career I’d let the stress of difficult transactions get to me. I’d worry about tough issues at work to the point where I’d often fixate on them all day, not allowing myself to shift gears and take care of other aspects of my daily life. Flash forward 10+ years and I am able to not let work stressors get to me. Overtime, I learned worrying about work wasn’t going to change the outcome. Sometimes hard scenarios come up during the escrow process (such is life), and sometimes deals fall apart. 10 years ago I’d let that get to me – present day it’s not a big deal in my mind. It all works out one way or another! I trust that now more than ever. Being a good person, taking care of myself and my family & friends comes first. Enjoying life with the people I care about. Work comes after that.

What should our readers know about your business?
I’ve been a licensed real estate agent for 14 years. Ten years ago my boutique firm, Bradway Real Estate, LLC was born! After a few years working under companies in real estate I decided to go out on my own and become an employing broker. I always liked the idea of working for myself. I do think there are pros and cons to solely running your own business in real estate verses hanging your license under a big office – but for me, it works. I love it! I’ve had many successful years assisting buyers and sellers with homes sales, and while there have been ups and downs I can confidently say I’ve always remained professional & positive while serving my clients and their best interests. Bradway Real Estate, LLC is now comprised of three Realtors! Myself (owner) and two additional amazing women; Hannah Weber & Tayler Streeter. What I love about the three of us is that we all worked together in a different industry many years ago. Flash forward to present day; we are all mother’s of young children who are like minded in our passion for both family and real estate. We serve our incredible clients throughout the Denver metro & Castle Rock!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If a good friend was visiting the city here’s a list of where we would go:

1. Cherry Creek North for some shopping and dining! I love Hillstone, True Food Kitchen, Quality Italian, Blue Island Oyster Bar & Seafood. We’d likely pop over to the Cherry Creek mall or walk around Wash Park as well.

2. A concert at the iconic Red Rocks Amphitheater!

3. An day or evening in Downtown Golden. Visiting Cafe 13, the Golden Farmers Market, Abejas, or Woody’s. Followed by getting ice cream or frozen yogurt and walking the path along Clear Creek. Especially in the fall, it’s so beautiful.

4. A trip to the mountains! Either paddle boarding at Evergreen Lake or going on a hike, followed by lunch or a local brewery nearby. Or we would head up to my hometown of Vail, CO for some winter or summer fun!

5. Other things to check out would be an Avalanche or Broncos game downtown Denver. The performing arts / live music. Or enjoying one of MANY incredible restaurants downtown, Rino district, or the Highlands.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My shoutout goes to my husband! He’s my rock, my biggest supporter, my confidant, my everything! He is the best father, the hardest worker and incredibly intelligent. Not to mention funny, strong, caring & creative… the list goes on. He does it all for us! He’s the best.
