Meet Katie Beth | Founder of Reverie Photography

We had the good fortune of connecting with Katie Beth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Katie Beth, why did you pursue a creative career?
I pursued an artistic, creative career because I’m drawn to capturing the beauty and emotion of life’s milestones. From a young age, I found joy in storytelling through images, photographing my cousins at family dinners. There’s something powerful about freezing moments that mark important chapters in people’s lives. But beyond that, what really drives me is how people feel after I photograph them. So often, people say they aren’t photogenic, but I see them differently — exactly as they were created, unique and beautiful. My goal is to help them see themselves the way the rest of the world does, to recognize their own worth and story through my work. Photography, to me, is about documenting people’s history and the days they have dreamed of for a lifetime. Hence, my business name: Reverie Photography.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business, Reverie Photography, centers on capturing life’s most meaningful milestones with genuine emotion and storytelling. What sets me apart is how I meet each client where they are. I am as involved or as hands off as they need me to be the day of their wedding, making the experience comfortable and personalized. I believe in creating images that truly reflect who they are.
I am proud of the relationships I build with my clients and the trust they place in me to document their most important days. That connection is what drives me every time I pick up my camera.
Since I recently relocated, I am in the process of rebuilding my business and growing my presence in the Colorado community. It has been a challenge, but also an exciting opportunity to start fresh and connect with new people. I have learned that adaptability and patience are key, and I am grateful for the support I have received so far.
What I want people to know is that even during transitions, my commitment to meaningful heartfelt storytelling remains unwavering. Reverie Photography is about preserving your legacy, documenting your daydreams, and celebrating the moments you will cherish forever.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend were visiting, I would show them some of my favorite spots in Colorado. We would go coffee shop hopping around Denver to enjoy the cozy vibes and great brews and definitely visit Izzio’s Bakery in Denver Central Market for some incredible pastries. The Chocolate Ganache La Roulette and their carrot cake are unforgettable and my personal favorites. A trip to Crested Butte is a must. It is one of the most beautiful places I have ever seen. We would spend an afternoon exploring Pearl Street Mall in Boulder, soaking in the lively atmosphere and grabbing some snacks. I would also plan some thrifting adventures around Denver to hunt for unique finds. For dinner, Sushi Den is a must for some of the best sushi in town, and to wind down. But if we were not in the mood for sushi, I would take them to Spice Room Indian Bistro, which offers flavorful dishes in a warm inviting setting. It is all about good food, fun shopping, beautiful scenery, and laid back hangouts.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Most importantly, I give thanks to God for guiding me and blessing me on this journey. He has placed the right people at the right time throughout my career.
I also have to give a huge shoutout to Boyko Photography. They trained me during my first wedding season when I was nervous to shoot a ceremony and helped shape me into the confident photographer I am today, ready to capture all the quirky moments of a wedding day. Beyond work, they are also amazing friends and someone I can always call on for advice or to bounce around business ideas which has been invaluable.
And of course, my husband. He has been my biggest supporter and cheerleader through every step of this journey. I couldn’t have done it without him.
