Meet Kelly Law | Co-Owner, GoNuts Marketing

We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelly Law and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelly, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
In some ways, it feels like GoNuts Marketing built itself – we’re just along for the ride.
It started with our travel blog, Jelly GoNuts (Jason + Kelly = Jelly), created while we were backpacking through Central America and working in hostels, surf camps, and beach hotels. When we returned to the States, we spent years on the road as experiential tour managers, driving coast to coast promoting brands at major events.
Along the way, we fell in love with music festivals. We traveled across the country – and beyond – just to experience them. When we finally came off the road, we launched Festy GoNuts, a media company built to celebrate the live music community.
That experience, mixed with our background in marketing and promotions, eventually turned into GoNuts Marketing. Over the years, we developed proven strategies that help music festivals find their people, build smart ticket-sale systems, and team up with artists and partners to amplify each festival’s message.
We also specialize in bringing the festival’s marketing team together. From photo and video teams to PR, graphic designers, and on-site staff, we help align every moving part into one cohesive marketing strategy. Today, nearly all of our clients are music events – exactly where our passion, experience, and expertise come together.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
What truly sets us apart is that GoNuts Marketing exists because of the music community we love. We moved to Colorado over 20 years ago and immediately fell into its vibrant live music scene – shows on Pearl Street, party buses to Red Rocks, packed rooms at The Ogden, countless nights at The Fox. Then the festival world exploded, and we followed it everywhere: across the country, across borders, and into a community that ultimately shaped our business.
We’ve worked in digital marketing since digital marketing first became a thing, watching platforms and algorithms evolve while evolving right along with them. In 2016, our love of live events and adventure led us to create Festy GoNuts, a media project built to celebrate the festival world. That passion now fuels GoNuts Marketing, where we focus almost exclusively on music festivals and music-driven events.
What we’re most proud of is that we don’t just market festivals – we live them. We understand this audience because we are this audience. And as a husband-and-wife team, our clients don’t get lost in an agency shuffle. They get our full focus, our creativity, and the kind of attention you only get when people genuinely care. We talk about our clients over morning coffee, on hikes, on long drives – because their success feels personal.
Our story is rooted in community, passion, and a whole lot of live music. And that’s exactly what we bring to every project we touch.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Let’s be honest: if our best friend visits Colorado for a week, we’re building the entire itinerary around live music. It’s what this state does best.
You have to hit Red Rocks – it’s iconic for a reason. But we highly recommend the Dillon Amphitheater, one of the most stunning outdoor venues in the state.
In Denver, spend an evening in RiNo grabbing dinner, then head to Mission Ballroom for a show. Levitt Pavilion is another incredible venue with dozens of free concerts every year.
Don’t skip Boulder! Stroll Pearl Street for Happy Hour or dinner before catching a show at our favorite indoor venue – the Boulder Theater. If you want something more intimate, you might be surprised to see who is playing at the legendary Fox Theater.
And don’t forget to support the local music scene. See who’s playing at a nearby brewery, find a bluegrass pick, check out smaller venues – and always support the opening act.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Jon Eisenberg, BlackSpy Marketing We’re so grateful to know Jon, and honored to call him a friend. He’s done so much for this music industry, and like us, he built his business based on community and connections.
