We had the good fortune of connecting with Kelsey Luebke and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kelsey, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
Being a mom to three children under the age of four, I have had to put a lot of time and effort into trying to balance work like and also being present as a wife and mom. It has definitely not been perfect but maintaining a balance has brought so much joy and I find that I am a better person for it
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a photographer located in southern Colorado. I have been taking photos as a hobby for years and finally decided that this is what I wanted to pursue and jumped all in this past January. There have been challenges with knowing where to start and also maintaining a balance between being a full time mom and also wanting to be a full time photographer. I have learned that if there is something that truly brings you joy then that is something that should be pursued full heartedly. I am so excited to where this journey going and that this is career that can be done at the same time as being a full time mom to three little children.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Being located in southern Colorado there are so many places to visit. I love being outdoors and going on new adventures. I would be taking my friend rafting down the Royal Gorge, stopping by Big Burger World in Canon City. I would also go to Garden I’d the Gods, for some hiking and site seeing.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would say my husband, parents and family have all been very supportive and have encouraged me to pursue photography. I would not be where I am today without them
