We had the good fortune of connecting with Kevin and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kevin, alright, let’s jump in with a deep one – what’s you’re definition for success?
Success is not just the amount of money that you have in your pocket and it can’t be defined by the number of followers that you have. Success comes from yourself, success is what you make it. For me, success is doing something that you love, something that makes you happy. It can be a hobby, or a job, for the lucky few those two things are one and the same.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My journey is still ongoing and I am constantly evolving as a creative. I went from wanting to start a podcast to creating shirts and posters, to black mirrors and starting an Etsy storefront. I’ve created short videos for TikTok and Instagram but I think what sets me apart is that I am somewhat a perfectionist. If the video does not hit all of the things that I think it needs to be successful then I won’t upload. If my art does not look like I want it to, it won’t be poster. The same goes for any shirts, or posters that I create. I pride myself on quality art and not art that looks too sloppy. Some people really love creating that aesthetic but I don’t find it too appealing. That’s where the lessons really come from. You have to realize that what you are creating is not for everyone and there will be critics that come en masse to talk trash about what you’ve created. If you are happy with what you’ve created that is all that matters – remember, you are sharing your art or creations because you are proud of what you have done, not because you want to see the likes go up. Seeing the likes on your post is just a side effect.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I always try and take people to places that are entertaining and educational. I’m not one to just take someone to a bar and then hop from one to another. A good trip would be going to a restaurant that has some kind of cultural tie to the city or some historical value. In Denver we have a bunch of those, some may just be in old buildings others may have actual history like The Buckhorn Exchange. Local concerts are also a good time especially in venues that most don’t venture to like The Ogden or other smaller venues. A drive in the mountains is always nice – a visit to Central City and the graveyards that are up there is a must if they share a love for the paranormal or spooky. A walk through Boulder or through Old Town Arvada is a must with stops in little bakeries or cafes. The art museum and the history museum are always a stellar hit as well.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My close friends and family are always behind me, no matter what the endeavor is. They always knew that I loved the paranormal, so when I told them that I wanted to start a podcast about it they were not in shock. They put belief into what I was doing and supported it in any way that they could. There are also other podcasters who took time out of their day to help answer some fundamental questions that I had, and give some tips on how to start. Encouragement came from all directions, from loved ones to co-workers.
