We had the good fortune of connecting with Kristin Jean Marie and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kristin, how do you think about risk?
My personal view on risk taking as a Business Owner and Entrepreneur is that it is absolutely necessary. My whole life I took risks in order to follow my dreams and pursue my passions. Any goal you have generally involves a decision, sacrifice, or taking a risk of some sort, and I think that it’s important to realize in order to advance at anything you must be willing to get past your comfort zone at some point. I believe that being able to take risks and put myself out there and invest into my Dreams has been a crucial part of my growth and development as a person. I’ve always been a firm believer that you can only get out what you put into something. And let’s be honest- sometimes you have to risk it all, just to let the universe know that you’re serious.

I help diverse Womxn fall in love with themselves by offering a Conceptual Boudoir Experience that captures every bit of their inner beauty! I am incredibly passionate about self-love, empowerment & and embracing all change and growth. I work to create a unique personalized experience and timeless Images that will be cherished for years to come! I have been doing Photography for 15 years, but I can honestly say that in 2020 I invested more into myself, and my Photography Business than I ever have. Investing into and believing in yourself and your dreams is not always the easiest thing to do, but you have to be ready to take the risks necessary for your happiness and growth. My most exciting recent adventure has been working on renovating a home studio space for my amazing clients! I have been working diligently to make sure that the products and service I offer is top notch, unique and tailored specifically to my clients wants and needs. Not to dissuade you, but the path to where I am was definitely anything but easy. In fact, I still feel that I am somewhere along the path and there may not be a destination. I have learned that it’s even more important to celebrate your failures, than your success’. I’ve learned that the universe will test you when you push your own limits. I’ve learned that you only rise by lifting others. And I’ve learned to not stop “3 feet from gold”. I still wake up unsure what the day will bring sometimes, but you have to be willing to suck at something new every now and then, and you have to just put yourself out there and try the things that call to your soul even if it scares you. The main thing that keeps me going through all of the challenges is the difference that I’ve been able to make in peoples’ lives by allowing them to embrace themselves fully and capturing the most precious of memories.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
When my Friend(s) are visiting I love to take them to see the beautiful nature sights of Colorado! My favorite spots to take them exploring include Rocky Mountain National Park, Garden of the Gods, Boulder Falls, Manitou Incline, Lookout Mountain, and Red Rocks. One day I would take them to Garden of the Gods & Seven Falls. While we were up there I would quickly visit one of my favorite Thrift Shops- “Clutter” and we could eat at Rudy’s BBQ. For a City Day I would take them down to Union Station & have a nice brunch at Snooze. Stroll the 16th Street Mall & explore the City. I also love going to the Denver Art Museum! Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I would love to shoutout my #1 Life Long Supporter Patty McElroy My Best Friends Cha Cha Romero, Mary Margaret & Nikki Davidson My Blooming Beauties Ambassadors Christina Rose & Chantelle Fleming
