We had the good fortune of connecting with Kyle Reynolds and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Kyle, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
It was mainly a pipe dream that’s has came into fruition. I had always loved the holdens, and buying a Ute was definitely something I figured would take an extremely long time at my age (21) but, thanks to some awesome friends and role models, the Ute landed right into my lap.
One day I was like, you know what would be cool? To document the stuff I do, the vehicles I buy and everything in between onto YouTube, a website or other social media platforms.
With that in mind, RRP Garage was born. RRP is short for Reynolds (my last name) racing & performance, and it has become a pretty fitting name!
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
One thing that sets me apart, is that I’m young and have more vehicles than most, which I don’t want to make that sound like I’m bragging, but I am definitely way ahead of others my age which I am extremely proud of myself for.
I am still early in my career and have a ton to learn. I am proud of where i am today, but still have more growing and improvements to be made!
I actually have a regular 9-5 also doing what I love, but I hope to turn RRP Garage into a brick and mortar location one day, but for now youtube and social media will do!
I want to be able to look at this article one day and say wow, that’s crazy, just the beginning!
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
So, I’m not from the area, but while exploring during Rocky Mountain Race week, I loved driving the mountain roads from Loveland, down to Bandimere speedway.
Pikes peak is a must, and was beautiful, so was garden of the gods.
The list goes on and on, but I say just drive around and you will not be disappointed between the cool roads, beautiful scenery and everything in between!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are a ton of people I am extremely grateful for that have shaped me who I am today, but one person in-particular I would like to recognize and say thank you.
Travis Bell – Owner of Celebrity Machines
Travis has not only formed into one of my best friends, but also is a great mentor and probably my #1 role model.
Without him, the Ute or many other vehicles / parts would not be in my possession. He also has a Ute and I always would picture his when I heard the word “Holden Ute”.
Between sourcing my Ute, he also did the paperwork on it which is an extremely hard task in the states, but he got it done without issue!
So in conclusion, Travis, I appreciate everything you have done for me and continue to do for me, you are playing a big role in my future success.
