Meet Laura Campbell | Personal and Executive Coach, Strategist and Guide, Founder of Unfolding

We had the good fortune of connecting with Laura Campbell and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Laura, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
When people ask why I started Unfolding, I tell them the truth: it began with my own personal crisis. My divorce was one of the most painful and disorienting experiences of my life. Everything I thought I knew—about my future, my family, and even myself—was unraveling. I felt like I was standing at the edge of something unknown, with no clear path forward.
But what I didn’t realize at the time was that this unraveling was actually the beginning of something deeper—a process of unfolding.
As I navigated that challenging season, I discovered something profound: life’s transitions—whether they arrive by choice or by circumstance—are not just endings. They are invitations to unfold into something new. These moments, though messy and uncertain, have the potential to reveal who we truly are and what we are capable of becoming.
The hardest part wasn’t just surviving the change—it was learning to trust what might emerge on the other side. I realized that the path forward doesn’t require certainty or massive leaps. It’s about taking small, intentional steps—especially when life feels uncertain or overwhelming. It’s about learning to soften into the discomfort of not knowing and discovering that even in the unknown, new possibilities are quietly unfolding.
I created Unfolding to walk alongside women during these pivotal moments of transition. Whether they’re facing a major life or professional change, a personal loss, or simply feeling stuck, I want them to know they’re not alone. My work is about helping women see beyond the chaos and fear, to uncover the quiet strength and possibility that exists beneath the surface.
Most importantly, I want women to understand that letting go of what they thought life “should be” isn’t failure—it’s a courageous act of making space. It’s about releasing the familiar so that something new and more authentic can emerge. The process of unfolding isn’t always easy, but it’s where true transformation happens.
What began as my own personal journey of healing and rediscovery has grown into a mission: to empower women to meet life’s transitions not with fear, but with curiosity and trust. Because when we allow ourselves to soften into life’s uncertainties, we discover that what’s unfolding is often more aligned, more meaningful, and more beautiful than we could have imagined.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I started Unfolding because I saw a gap—a space where women’s strength and resilience weren’t being fully recognized or supported. Too often, women are told to “push through” life’s hardest moments, to keep it together even when everything feels like it’s falling apart. But I know from personal experience that life’s biggest transitions—whether chosen or unexpected—are not just about survival. They are profound opportunities for reinvention. I created Unfolding to give women the support, guidance, and space they need to navigate those pivotal moments with courage and clarity.
What struck me most during my own experience was how universal these moments are for women. We all have different stories—career shifts, relationship changes, health challenges, identity questions—but beneath the surface, the emotional landscape is often the same. Fear. Uncertainty. The quiet hope that maybe this breakdown could lead to a breakthrough.
I’ve always believed in the incredible power and courage of women. Even when we feel lost or broken, there’s an innate strength that allows us to rise and create something new. That belief is at the heart of Unfolding. I design coaching programs that align with where a woman is on her journey—because no two paths are the same. Some women need deep one-on-one work to reconnect with their truth and chart a new course. Others thrive in the energy of shared experience, which is why I also create powerful group spaces where women can come together, share their stories, and support one another.
There’s something magical that happens when women gather. Despite our unique life experiences, there’s an undeniable thread of connection—a shared understanding of what it means to navigate change, to question who we are, to rebuild after things fall apart. I create experiences that allow women to tap into that collective strength while honoring their individual journeys. Whether it’s through a coaching session, a transformational retreat, or a supportive group circle, my work is about creating space for women to reconnect with themselves and each other.
What sets my approach apart is the blend of heart and strategy. I’m deeply intuitive, but I’m also fiercely practical. I’ll hold space for you when you need to process the emotional weight of a transition—but I’ll also help you create a concrete, actionable plan to move forward. My background in business and leadership allows me to help women not only envision what’s possible but take the steps to make it real.
Most importantly, I challenge the narrative that letting go of what you thought life “should be” is a failure. It’s not. It’s courage. It’s the space where true transformation begins. Letting go is not about giving up—it’s about making room for what’s next. My mission is to help women trust that even when life feels messy and uncertain, they have the strength, the wisdom, and the courage to create something extraordinary on the other side.
What began as my personal healing journey has become a mission to help other women meet life’s transitions with both bravery and grace. I don’t offer easy answers or quick fixes. I offer a partnership—a space to explore, to reimagine, and to unfold into the next chapter of life with confidence and authenticity. Because I know that when a woman stands fully in her truth, the ripple effect of that courage changes everything.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My Denver Favorites: Experiences That Capture the City’s Soul
Though I’ve only called Colorado home for about three years and live outside the city, Denver has captivated me with its unique blend of urban charm and natural beauty. As someone who balances introversion with a love for meaningful experiences, I’ve discovered special corners of Denver that speak to different parts of my soul.
Culinary Discoveries: Denver’s food scene continues to surprise me. At Safta, I lose myself in pillowy pita and inspired Middle Eastern flavors. Barolo Grill offers those perfect Italian evenings where time seems to slow down. When I crave coastal vibes, Perdida’s Baja-inspired cuisine transports me instantly.
Cultural Moments: There’s something magical about getting lost in live jazz at Nocturne, where the music feels intimate and conversation flows easily. For a touch of old-world elegance, The Brown Palace afternoon tea experience creates a perfect pause from everyday life.
Natural Retreats: While I often escape to the mountains for hiking and skiing (my true happy place), the Denver Botanic Gardens offers an urban sanctuary that changes with the seasons. Wash Park satisfies my East Coast roots and reminds me of the Central Park moments I treasured in NYC.
Community Connections: Nothing brings me more joy than stumbling upon the city’s street festivals and farmers markets. These vibrant gatherings showcase Denver’s true spirit and offer those spontaneous encounters that make city living special.
Retail Therapy: When I’m in the mood to treat myself, Cherry Creek’s shopping district provides that perfect blend of luxury and local finds.
Musical Memories: Denver’s diverse music venues have given me countless nights of discovery, from intimate shows to larger performances under the stars. And of course, Red Rocks!!!
What makes Denver special isn’t just the individual spots but how they weave together to create a city that rewards exploration with delightful surprises—perfect for an introvert who appreciates thoughtfully curated experiences rather than endless socializing.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to give a heartfelt shoutout to my mother, Martha Weisbart, who made me the woman I am today. She stands as my greatest inspiration—a woman whose boundless strength and grace I admire beyond measure, and whose love has become the foundation upon which my entire life is built. My mother is beautifully eccentric, embracing her true self without apology or hesitation. What I’ve always found remarkable is how she has never wavered from her values – not once – standing firmly in her convictions even when it wasn’t easy. She has profoundly shaped who I am as a woman, friend, parent, and partner through this unwavering example of authenticity.
Mom brings joy and goodness not only into the world but to every person she touches with her rare combination of honor, kindness, brilliance, and wonderful humor. Her sharp wit and contagious laughter have taught me that intelligence and fun are perfect companions. I adore her free spirit, I am inspired by her courage, I honor her principles, I am in awe of her consistency, I admire her wisdom, and I am eternally grateful for her unconditional love. She is the reason I continuously strive to be a better woman and human being – someone who, like her, isn’t afraid to be exactly who I am while holding fast to what matters most.
