We had the good fortune of connecting with Leah Leguizamon and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Leah, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Being an open book
Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I started My Roots Photography shortly after my son was born. My husband had bought me a NikonD3100 before we had kids and the time was just never there to explore it. Photography feeds my soul and I truly believe it is my calling to bless others. My husband tells me to book a session when I’m cranky… lol. I have learned that my style is not for everyone and hopefully they’ve done their research before booking. The ones it is for though, we will create magic and tell a story for generations to see. I believe my logo tells the story of my brand…. the finger prints to signify your individuality, the heart to signify the love and bond with the ones you are sharing your frame with and the tree roots are your history and heritage.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Top 5 restaurants to eat at for sure cacciatore in Windsor Hearth in Windsor Union in Fort Collins Georgia Boys in Longmont Blue agave in Fort Collins Places Gateway Natural Area Ice castles in Dillon during winter All the fabulous breweries Carter lake Estes park
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My husband has always been my number one fan and supporter. He is also a fabulous sounding board and second set of eyes. He picks up around the home right where I left off so that our kids have everything they need and more
