We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Moore and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, how has your background shaped the person you are today?
I grew up in small town Utah, smack dab in the middle of LDS community. My parents had both grown up in an active church going family but as adults, they didn’t… so naturally our family didn’t either. It never really was a big deal that we didn’t go to church, but I always felt a deep kind of faith inside me. Both of my parents encouraged finding out who you are, strengthening talents and sharing with those around you. My Dad was a strong example of this… his dream was to be a Country Singer! He and my mom had enough gumption to move our family with not much across the country to Nashville. There is an old country song by David Allen Coe called The Ride. One line from the song says “Can you make folks feel what you feel inside.” I have very vivid memories of riding in the truck with my Dad as he clapped his hand to his leg to the beat. That line has played 1000 times in my head as a guide for how I want to live and share my life. I’ve always felt an enormous amount of energy and joy and it’s my goal to help others feel what I feel inside.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I worked corporate before I got married.. that’s actually where my husband and I met. I also worked with the community in Tucson, AZ to help under-served students work and fund their cost of private schooling. I knew that being part of community, whether big city or small sisterhood community was what I craved and was pretty good at leading.

Once we became parents, I stayed home with our two boys while my husband worked corporate. His job brought us to Denver, where I got immediately involved in creating a moms group, and immersed in serving at church. About 5 years ago my husband quit corporate and started his own business. I was always in awe that he could create from ground-zero and a blank canvass, something that scared me entirely. But I did catch a spark from him… what do I have that I want to share. This lead me to find being an accountability coach with Beachbody, which I did for 5 years. I loved the sisterhood, challenge and health that it brought into my life. But still, it wasn’t what completely fulfilled me. I had been listening to Jody Moore on her Better Than Happy podcast and slowly got intrigued about a deeper more meaningful coaching and helping others with their thoughts. Enter Life Coaching that has been life-changing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We’d start with an early morning yoga or trail hike at Red Rocks, a cool 10 minutes from my home. Then we’d head to RiNo to eat at The Denver Central Market and for sure grab a pastry from Izzio’s.
We’d walk the streets and take pics in front of all the awesome streetart. We’d talk about how Crushwalls used to be a big helper of beautifying the area.
Back to home and go to Bear Creek Lake Park for stand-up paddleboard play. So relaxing!
For dinner, we’d go to Uncle for ramen and then head to Coors Field to watch the Rockies or the Ball Arena to see the Nuggets play.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Jody Moore – She is a Life Coach… my life coach. She’s also an author, podcaster, mother and guide! She has given my brain and hear freedom. Freedom from tightness that I had created myself, sure, it was also the help of socialization and rigid religious beliefs. Jody has taught me how to unwind and then organize everything I do and how I interact with the world on a daily basis.
