We had the good fortune of connecting with Lisa Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lisa, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
After multiple life changing events occured, I decided to become certified as a Colon Hydrotherapist and opened my own Wellness Center in June, 2017. This has allowed me to help people in the most important and impactful (no pun intended) way. There is also a certain freedom in running my own business because I get to decide my hours, my prices, and make decisions that are beneficial to me.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
We help people with their digestive system, this in turn helps them function better. Colon Hydrotherapy has been around for thousands of years. Everyone who eats, poops and the toxins we don’t eliminate are reabsorbed into the body creating and contributing to Dis-Ease. I’m passionate about helping people in this way because colon hydrotherapy saved my life several times and I wanted to give back and help others feel better and function better.

This answer below was related to another question on the form…

Whenever there was a major challenge I just reminded myself that if I fail, I’ll still be breathing and this doesn’t define me. Too many lessons to count. I want to remind the other women out there; “I can! I will! I must!” You CAN do it! Helping people on this level is the most rewarding thing I’ve ever done. I’ve never been happier!

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Red Rocks Ampitheater, some hiking, and some local restaurants.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Chrissy Haderer, my CEO. She has been my rock and has encouraged me through some really tough times.
