Meet Luis Roman | Travel Vlogger, Content Creator & Human Resources Professional

We had the good fortune of connecting with Luis Roman and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Luis, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking
Taking risks is one of the most important things one has to do in order to move the needle and get closer to achieving your dreams. In my own life, I have experienced times in which I did not take that leap of faith and times in which I did. Most of the time the reason why people choose not to take risks is self-doubt, fear of failing and the unknown. To overcome this, it is paramount that people surround themselves with a support system, people that will provide encouragement and support. Many times it just takes one person that says “do it” to cross that bridge. In my own life, I had so many opportunities that I did not take and with time the regrets build up. I think that everyone goes through their own journey but at some point you realize that it is time to say yes, yes to you, yes to your dreams. I am grateful to count with the support from my wife Edith. I know that I can count with her to celebrate successes but also to be my support and motivator when things don’t go as planned. Take risks, just do it and if you fail, do it again!

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a Travel Vlogger and Content Creator. My wife Edith and I love traveling and sharing our adventures with others through our social media platforms but primarily our YouTube Channel. We record and edit the content that’s shared with our followers and subscribers. Our journey with this new venture is fairly short but we are in for the long run!
What got me to this point was the realization that people should travel and explore other places and cultures. Traveling (even if it is just locally) enriches your life and your soul. Getting to know other places and cultures expands your understanding of the world and the diversity that makes each place unique. We believe that life should be a collection experiences and memories. Our goal is to explore the world and bring content that motivate others in creating their own adventures.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We recently took a weekend trip to Denver. We highly recommend a weekend exploring the RiNo Art District. (We actually have a vlog on our weekend at the RiNo Art District (https://youtu.be/jJZadKdZiMI)
-Stay at the new Catbird Hotel (ft. roof top bar The Red Barber) which is in the heart of the RiNo Art District
-Check out for live entertainment at Mission Ballroom
-Explore all the art that the RiNo Art District – over 5o murals created by local artists
-Hire a local photographer to have a photo shoot with all the amazing art in town (we have a photo shoot with Sandra – http://unikphotos.com/)
-Rent a Lyft electric scooter and easily navigate the art district and all the shopping and dinning
-A must visit is the Denver Central Market – all the most delicious food you can imagine, local coffee, bakery, pizza, cocktails and more.
-NOMAD offers vintage furniture, textiles, lighting, rugs and unique accessories for the home.
-Visit The Infinite Money Theorem which is a local winery in an industrial setting. You can take a tour and taste their delicious wines.
-For a sit down meal – we highly recommend Il Posto, it is an Italian restaurant offering delicious meals and creative cocktails in a romantic, yet casual setting.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My Shoutout goes to my wife Edith. Her love, support and encouragement has been the foundation of this journey. The key has been that she’ll tell me how it is, even if I don’t like it or I don’t want to hear it… and well, she has been right!
