Meet MacKenzie Momper

We had the good fortune of connecting with MacKenzie Momper and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi MacKenzie, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly, it started with a deep desire to serve women in a way that felt more whole, personal, and supportive than what I saw in mainstream wellness and motherhood spaces.
I came from a background in movement and nutrition, and after going through my own journey into motherhood, I realized how much was missing especially around the transitions of pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond.
I didn’t want to just hand people meal plans or fitness programs. I wanted to walk alongside them, help them reconnect with their bodies, and create a space that felt empowering, not overwhelming.
That’s really what led to the creation of the Well-Fed Momma Method. It’s not just about food. It’s about nourishment on every level: physical, emotional, hormonal, relational. I wanted women to feel deeply supported in a season that’s often overlooked.
Starting my own business gave me the freedom to build something that reflects those values to combine evidence-based support with a really human, grounded approach.
And honestly? It was also about showing my son what it looks like to live in alignment with your purpose. That matters to me, too.

What should our readers know about your business?
At its core, my business is about helping women feel deeply nourished, supported, and seen especially in the seasons where that’s often the hardest to access: fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and early motherhood.
I work as a prenatal and postpartum nutritionist, doula, and movement coach, and I bring those elements together inside the Well-Fed Momma Method a whole-body approach that blends evidence-based care with real-life support.
What sets this work apart is that it’s not just a meal plan or a workout program. It’s a reimagining of how we care for women during some of the most powerful and vulnerable transitions of their lives. It’s rooted in physiology, but also in nervous system safety, relationship dynamics, nourishment, and honoring the body’s wisdom.
I’m most proud of how the Well-Fed Momma Method has become a space for women to come as they are whether they’re preparing to conceive, navigating a postpartum identity shift, or learning how to reconnect with their body after birth.
Getting to where I am today was not easy. I started building this business during the first year of motherhood, while working remote, navigating massive identity shifts of my own, and carving a path that didn’t always make sense to others. There were seasons I felt scattered, burnt out, or unsure if I was doing it “right.” But every time I came back to why I was doing it and who I was doing it for I found my footing again.
The biggest lesson I’ve learned is that building a business from a place of purpose takes time, rest, and self-trust. You don’t have to do it all at once. You just have to keep listening to what’s true for you.
If there’s one thing I want people to know about me and my work, it’s that I’m here to walk with you not above you, not preaching at you, but alongside you. This work is collaborative, compassionate, and rooted in the belief that women deserve better support at every stage of their reproductive health journey.
And we’re just getting started.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I love this question! We live in Golden, just outside of Denver, so I’d definitely show off a mix of both the laid-back nature vibes of Golden and the fun, vibrant energy of Denver. Here’s how I’d plan the week:
Day 1 – Settle In + Explore Golden
Start with a grounding hike at North Table Mountain (especially beautiful in the morning light). Afterward, grab brunch or coffee at Humble House, then walk along Clear Creek. If it’s hot out, we’d float the creek and pack a lunch to enjoy by the water.
Dinner at Abejas is a must cozy, elevated, and so delicious. Maybe a local beer at Holidaily to wrap it up.
Day 2 – Adventure + Movement
Morning Pilates session at Pilates Revival, followed by a bike ride along the Clear Creek Trail.
In the afternoon, head out for a sunset concert at Red Rocks there’s truly nothing like it.
Day 3 – Denver Day: Parks + Culture
Kick off with a walk around Wash Park and a latte from Wash Perk. Spend a few hours at the Museum of Nature and Science (especially fun with kids if they’re along), then take a stroll through the Denver Botanic Gardens.
Dinner would be Protos Pizza and maybe a scoop from Little Man Ice Cream after.
Day 4 – Road Trip to the Rockies
Pack up for a day trip to Rocky Mountain National Park hike to Dream Lake (doable and absolutely stunning), enjoy a picnic, and soak in the mountain air. Stop in Estes Park on the way back for a coffee or treat.
Day 5 – Chill + Local Golden Favorites
Start slow with coffee and breakfast at Humble House one of my favorite local spots for nourishing food and good energy.
Spend the morning wandering the Golden Farmers Market (if it’s a Saturday) or browsing downtown shops and stopping by Earth Sweet Boutique for clean beauty or wellness finds.
In the afternoon, float the creek again or relax in the shade by the water.
End the day watching the sunset from Lookout Mountain and dinner at Sherpa House cozy, colorful, and so grounding.
Day 6 – Denver Foodie Day
Hit up The Dairy Block, grab lunch at Denver Central Market, do a little shopping or street art wandering in RiNo, and wrap the day with dinner at Root Down or Linger.
Day 7 – Wrap Up With What We Missed
One last morning hike or a walk along Clear Creek, depending on how we’re feeling.
Then breakfast at The Tributary Food Hall (great mix of local vendors + chill vibe) or Launch Espresso + Juice, which has amazing coffee and fresh, nourishing food.
A slow, grounding start before heading out ideally with full hearts and tired legs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
First, I have to shout out the women I’ve worked with and continue to work with who have trusted me in some of their most vulnerable seasons. Their openness, their stories, their resilience… that’s what shaped the Well-Fed Momma Method more than anything.
I also want to recognize the mentors and voices who helped me bridge the gap between evidence-based care and deeply intuitive support people like Lily Nichols, the team at Birthfit, and colleagues like Ashley Novak, who I now get to collaborate with in supporting women more holistically.
And on a more personal note my husband. He’s supported this vision from the beginning, through every pivot and late-night brainstorm.
This work isn’t just mine it’s woven from the wisdom and love of many. I feel honored to carry it forward.
