Hi Maribel, what do you think makes you most happy? Why?
Lots of things make me happy, Where can I begin? I am feeling happy on sunny days because I came from Monterrey Mexico, It is a hot place, it’s my natural environment, popsicles make me happy, travel, know new people, learn something new and share it, parties and pinatas, hug my kids. meditation and yoga. I really enjoy life, and I hope to live much more years healthy and positive to get more experiences. To the infinity and beyond.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My business is base on Mexican Folk Art, I am feeling proud of my Mexico, And Its art is extensive. I start this business making custom pinatas , and Lead some workshops to teach the history of pinatas how are made, and how you can learn to make one. I love how people engage in the process, enjoy the time with family, and learn something new. I am feeling grateful how different cultures approach my workshops, make me question even when they want to hear some Spanish words in the pinata-making process.

Now I am offering more workshops as Alebrijes, Papel Picado, God’s Eyes from wixarika culture, cartoneria (paper mache technique) jewelry, and more.
My workshops are bilingual and they are offered for All the lovely curious, from 3 to 100+ years old, who want to learn about Mexican culture, It is an honor for me to share what makes me happy.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado is amazing, not matters the season Winter, Summer, Spring, Fall all the seasons are special, but I will Choose my favorite Fall: because is not freezing, not too hot, and It’s a real Colorful Colorado,

The color of the trees turns yellow, orange, brown, and dark red, and it is magical when the leaves are falling, All the city smells pumpkin and ginger.

Then let’s set up the itinerary my friend.

I will take you in the morning with a previous reservation to have a great breakfast at Snooze an A.m eatery yum! after a good talk and excellent food and service, let’s walk and visit some shops at Downtown, there’s a different type of shops depends on what you like, let’s go to rhino it’s an art district just 7 mints far away to downtown, we’ll enjoy all the murals in the streets and take tons of photos with this special glow in the city.

After too many walks let’s go to the mountains, Peak’s pike to be specific, there is a stunning view, kind of far away but this visit its by car, We can take some snacks, and if we have luck, we can see some wild animals.

The last stop, Raices Brewing Co. It’s a wonderful brewery, the owners are very kind. beer is excellent and always offers different shows, signers and as a good Latina, let’s Dance!

On the other days, I will take you to the different counties and spend all day long in everyone; Boulder, for example, has a great museum, shops, and a beautiful river, Golden, Loveland. Breckenridge, Vail, colorado Springs. All the activities are different in every county, As I said Colorado is Amazing.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I want to dedicate to my Dad, Who is my example of entrepreneur Life, He is a wise man, visionary. and More than 1 who knows him told me he is a great human being. Of course, I know it! He is living in Mexico, 72, still working, and I hope soon support him, as he supports me.

And to all women and migrants, I know You know it is not easy, but Yes we can!!
