We had the good fortune of connecting with Mario Hernandez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Mario, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
After been working in restaurants for more than 12 years And loving what I do creating in the kitchen I realize that It was time for me to try to do my own restaurant and I wanted to bring a unique seafood restaurant in mid valley

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I’m we’re I’m right now with a lot of dedication, passion and perseverance I started been a prep guy and there is where I saw my mentor and told my self I will be there one day I will put everything from me to get my goal, it wasn’t easy there were sooo many hours of work and dedication and the most important been hungry of learn everything and be humble when I was learning . I learn that every effort will get you where you want to be and it will be worth it for life .
I want my community to know that My restaurant is a hard working local owner who is fitting for his dream every day who gets inspired from my family and that I put my heart in what I do .

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Our valley is the best to enjoy nature so I will take my friend to marron creek for a beautiful hike then hanging lake and to have the best view Aspen mountain. I haven’t go out to eat since I open my restaurant because I have been working on my restaurant so honestly I definitely will take them to my place and also a sushi resta

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Beside my mentors ( Chef Barclay and Brian ) God who open the right door for me to be able to reach this dream and my family ( wife and kids ) who have been very supportive and patient with me on this journey.
