We had the good fortune of connecting with Ali Garcia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ali, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to start my own business because I wanted the flexibility and freedom to pursue my dreams. As a photographer, I am able to create a schedule that works for me and my family, meet amazing clients from all over the world, and have a creative outlet that fulfills me both personally and professionally.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a Colorado-based photographer specializing in adventurous couples sessions and intimate weddings. I love working with couples in any stage of their relationship; whether they are dating, engaged, or married. I believe every love story deserves to be documented; and I am passionate about capturing life’s special moments in a fun, natural way. I strive to create memorable experiences that reflect each couple and their unique relationship. Sometimes those experiences include driving up a mountain, climbing rocks, or hiking through the forest. I feel so lucky to be able to call this my job.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
We would start with a sunrise hike at Garden of the gods, followed by brunch at 503W. Then we’d drive to the summit of Pikes Peak and stop for a famous high-altitude donut at 14,000 feet. Afterwards, we would head downtown for dinner at Dos Santos and cocktails at Cork and Cask.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My number one supporter has always been my husband. He has encouraged me to follow my dreams and continue to be the best version of myself everyday.
