Meet Mecaila Farnsworth | Esthetician

We had the good fortune of connecting with Mecaila Farnsworth and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mecaila, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
Honestly, no one teaches you how to properly take care of your skin it’s not something you learn in school. With so much misinformation online and overwhelming advice from influencers, it’s easy for people to feel lost when it comes to building a skincare routine that actually works for them. I wanted to create a space where people could learn how to take care of their skin in a way that’s personalized, sustainable, and effective. My goal was to guide them with real knowledge, not trends so they could stop wasting money on the wrong products and instead invest in routines that truly benefit their skin. I wanted to be that trusted person they could rely on not just for treatments, but for understanding how to care for their skin for life.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I help women tackle real-life skin challenges like adult acne, aging, discoloration, and texture, virtually. What sets my business apart is that I don’t just recommend products. I truly listen. I learn what my clients are currently doing, what they’ve tried, what they hope for, and then I craft a customized, medical-grade skincare routine that fits their goals, lifestyle, and budget.
We meet over Zoom so I can teach them how to properly use their products, step-by-step. No guesswork, no wasted money just real, long-term results from the comfort of home.
It wasn’t easy getting here, but every challenge taught me the value of connection, education, and empowering women to feel confident in their own skin. This work is about more than skincare it’s about helping women feel seen, supported, and beautiful in their everyday lives.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want to give them the full Colorado experience! We’d spend a day in Estes Park hiking, exploring Rocky Mountain National Park, spotting elk, and enjoying the local shops then unwind with a cozy night in a cabin.
Back in Denver, we’d have tea at the Brown Palace, stroll through RiNo for murals and coffee shops, and hit up a rooftop bar downtown for dinner or drinks. We’d also check out Red Rocks for a concert or just the views, take a day trip to Garden of the Gods, and maybe squeeze in a spa day or hot springs trip to really relax.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my Mrs. Colorado pageant sisters. These women have played such a huge role in my journey not just in pageantry, but in life. They are some of the most inspiring, driven, and compassionate people I’ve ever met. Being surrounded by women who uplift each other, push each other to grow, and show up with grace and authenticity has taught me so much about who I am and who I want to become. Through every stage of my personal and professional growth, they’ve been there cheering me on, offering advice, and reminding me of my strength. They’ve shown me that true sisterhood is about empowering one another.
