We had the good fortune of connecting with Megan Trail and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Megan, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
The most important factor to the success of To the T Plumbing, Heating, and Air… I’d have to say being relentless and pertinacious, I don’t mean it in a bad way either. When on the road to success you will always come across hard times. A lot of people let those situations dissuade them and stop them from continuing. I have always pushed through no matter what. Seeing the bigger picture, learning from those hard times, and improving with each stone that gets thrown your way. Each thing getting thrown your way is a lesson to be learned to keep growing not letting that stop you and push back. Because you can’t have a successful company if you don’t keep growing. Not just growing the company but yourself, your mind, and the way you choose to see life. The success of your company starts with you and your mindset.

What I am most proud of and excited about for To the T Plumbing Heating and Air, is that we are expanding!! We have opened up a new location in Austin Texas and are working on opening the third location out in Baltimore. I would definitely say no it was not easy. Opening up different locations and getting them up and running is always trial and error the first few weeks because what might work for us here won’t work in another location. So there is some learning going on, like learning to run a business from Colorado in Texas. Trusting who we’ve chosen for the job and teaching him how we do things here and what our morals and standards are. That way we build the family we have here over there too. What I want the world to know about my story and this business is we strive for loyalty and honesty. Not a lot of places do that. We want to build relationships with our customers to get trust and have long-life customers who feel comfortable enough to come to us.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I would start them off with a good hike to the incline, because what better way to get to know Colorado! Then I would take them downtown and see the heart of Denver. See the building the art walk them around taste the food hear the music. For the rest of the time I would take them to explore our mountains and see the colors and spend the days fishing, skiing, snowboarding, and all the other activities we’ve got in the mountains.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
