We had the good fortune of connecting with Melissa Haile and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Melissa, is there a quote or affirmation that’s meaningful to you?
“There is always light. If only we’re brave enough to see it. If only we’re brave enough to be it.” -“The Hill We Climb”, Amanda Gorman I love how empowering this quote is. This is about us taking action within ourselves to find peace so that we can build a brighter world as a whole. As a light worker and healer who focuses on self care, this quote speaks for me.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I am a healing arts practitioner and massage therapist. My practice, Moss North Therapy, is a practice dedicated to empowering others by helping them achieve a stress free and pain free life through massage and wellness. I was raised by wellness practitioners so the decision was easy, almost intuitive. I am always learning which has kept me passionate about being in this game, it has been twenty years. I blend ancient healing arts like Traditional Chinese Massage, Amma, Acupressure, Gem Therapy and Fire Cupping with modern technology like lighting effects, Heat Therapy and Techno Music. My brand is about Love and Empowerment, it is also about holding space to honor yourself and to nurture yourself so that you feel well and good to spread it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
This list is not in particular order. When my best friend came to visit us from New York there were three things on my list that I made sure that she experienced. Number one, hands down, not that I am biased was to bring her to Nurture Wellness Marketplace. In there, she was able to visit Nest Cafe for an amazing Soulful inspired brunch and listen to live music. After lunch she could come upstairs to see me for a massage. The second place was to walk my friend around Rhino to see the murals. I have lived in Brooklyn which is known worldwide for its murals, Rhino can definitely give BK some competition. Number three, it would be so wrong of me to have my friend come all the way to Colorado and not bring her into the mountains. When my best friend was here we went to Estes Park, there are so many other options and I am grateful to be in Colorado because of that.
