Meet Miracle Bassett | Entrepreneur, Content Creator & Chronic Illness Warrior

We had the good fortune of connecting with Miracle Bassett and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Miracle, any advice for those thinking about whether to keep going or to give up?
I ask myself: Have I succeeded or achieved everything I set out to do at least in some way? That question helps me check in with my goals and my growth.
When it comes to building your own business, you have to realize that it’s okay for your vision to shift as you grow. What you started with might not be what you end up with and that’s not failure, that’s evolution.
My faith and my family also guide me when I’m deciding whether to keep going or let something go. They keep me grounded and help me see the bigger picture. Sometimes you just need that reminder of why you started and who you’re doing it for.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Was it easy. Not at all. I was diagnosed with sickle cell anemia at just 11 days old, and that diagnosis has impacted every part of my life. I live with daily pain and have spent more time in hospital beds than I’d like to admit. But those experiences also lit a fire in me I knew I needed a way to build a life that gave me flexibility, freedom, and purpose.
I actually started my business from a hospital bed. I realized I couldn’t rely on a traditional 9–5 when my health was so unpredictable. I needed something that could work with me, not against me. So I took a leap and started building something for myself something that gave me a way to earn income, help others, and create impact on my terms.
How did you overcome the challenges?
By staying rooted in my why. I reminded myself every single day that my health wasn’t going to stop me from building a life I loved. My pain wasn’t just something I had to deal with it became a reminder. Every time I was in pain, it pushed me to keep going because I knew I needed something different. I needed freedom. I needed peace. I needed options.
That pain reminded me that I didn’t want to spend my life just surviving. I wanted to live. And building my business gave me a path to do that.
What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way?
• You don’t need perfect conditions to start—just courage.
• Your story has power, especially the parts you once tried to hide.
• Flexibility is everything when you live with a chronic illness.
• Success doesn’t come from doing what everyone else is doing—it comes from doing what aligns with you.
What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
I want people to know that I started my business from a hospital bed, during one of the most difficult seasons of my life. I didn’t wait until I felt strong or ready I just started. And from that place, I built something meaningful, something that helps people take control of their confidence and their income.
I work with women and men who are dealing with hair loss, hormonal changes, or just want to feel like themselves again. I help them rebuild their confidence and turn their beauty routines into income, all from their phones. I also create content for authors—because books have always been a part of my healing and joy.
My brand is rooted in resilience, realness, and freedom. I want people to know that no matter what life has thrown at you, you still have the power to write a new story.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
This has actually happened! When my best friend visited, I booked us a hotel in downtown Denver to give her the full city experience. There’s just something special about being right in the heart of it all it’s a vibe you can’t miss.
We spent time exploring 16th Street Mall, shopping, walking, laughing through everything because that’s just who I am. We had so much fun just soaking up the energy. I took her to The Cheesecake Factory, and she loved it!
One of my absolute favorite places is Longmont. It has that small-town feel I connect with, and so many hidden gems. We’d also visit the Butterfly Pavilion butterflies have such a beautiful meaning to me. They don’t know how beautiful they are, and I think that speaks to a lot of us.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My family without a doubt deserves this shoutout. But most of all, my parents. They have supported me every step of the way.
My mom and my two sisters, Savanna and Latoya, help me manage and organize the day-to-day decisions that keep everything running. My father is my biggest cheerleader he sends me morning texts reminding me that I can do it, that I’ve got this, especially on the days when he knows I’m stressed or overwhelmed. Those little messages mean more than he knows.
All of my siblings and friends play a role too. They constantly remind me to pause, reflect, and give myself the recognition I deserve. They remind me where I started, where I am now, and how far I’ve come—even when I forget.
Jenni Carr the woman who got me started has been a constant source of encouragement. She lifts me up every time I need it, and I truly wouldn’t be on this journey without her.
And most of all, I give all the glory and thanks to God. He’s the foundation of everything I do and the reason I keep going.
