We had the good fortune of connecting with Misty Smith and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Misty, how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Travel has always been a passion of mine, and over the years, I’ve found immense joy in helping friends, family, and colleagues plan their vacations. Whether it’s crafting detailed itineraries or discovering unique activities, I love curating experiences that turn trips into cherished memories. This enthusiasm naturally led me to establish my own travel planning business, where I can dedicate myself to bringing others the same joy and unforgettable moments that travel has given me.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
With over 20 years in customer service, I’ve learned that it’s impossible to please everyone—and that’s okay. The key is not to take it personally and to focus on delivering the best service possible.

I pride myself on clear communication and attention to detail. Whether you’re planning a quick weekend getaway or the vacation of a lifetime, I’m committed to providing the information and support you need to make your trip unforgettable.

One principle that has always guided me is: if the work were easy, everyone would do it. This mindset drives me to go the extra mile for my clients, regardless of the size of their budget. Every client deserves a fantastic vacation experience, and I’m here to make that happen.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Kerry isn’t just my husband—he’s my teammate in every sense of the word. From the very beginning, he’s been my cheerleader, backing me up no matter what goal I was chasing. We both have a deep love for travel and a shared curiosity for new adventures, which has taken us to some incredible places together.

When the idea of starting this business came up, Kerry was all in. We sat down, mapped out a plan, and dove in as a team. He’s been there through every high and low—celebrating the wins and lifting me up when things got tough. His steady support and belief in me have meant everything.

Having him by my side makes this journey even more meaningful. It’s not just about building a business—it’s about building something we love, together.
