We had the good fortune of connecting with Mr. Bridges and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Mr., what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
To use my voice and my story to empower people to succeed & bring a positive impact to the community. I believe that we all have a unique story and passion within. But it is the story that we tell ourselves that dictates the outcomes in our lives. If there is a negative story of victim hood and defeat on repeat in our heads, it is near impossible to step into victory.
Success isn’t just about financial gain, but personal growth & impact. This is where joy and peace are found. My mission is to help people step into that joy and peace by helping them rewrite & use their stories and skills to move forward with force towards their destiny.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My life is a representation of my business. I live by and teach Kingdom Principles of success. Starting with empowering my community to know that they already have what it takes inside of them to succeed, they just need to activate it. Once they do, we apply universal, Kingdom Principles to their life, relationships, and business to build a life of time and financial freedom, with the peace we have always been seeking.
And that’s what I believe sets me & the BU brand apart. I am committed to the education and the empowerment of my community. I do not just focus on the gains in the bank account, but the growth of the person within. Although finances play a major role in living a satisfactory life, it’s not even close to the top of the list of the things most important to us. What does it profit for you to have a fortune, but have no peace for your soul.
I started my journey as a professional performance specialist to the world’s best athletes. Training them to win world medals, championships, and secure pro contracts. Now, I am helping create the world’s best humans by leading them in a pursuit of true riches. This major shift in my life was not expected, nor was the journey to get here easy. I’ve had to fight my entire life to get to where I am today, but I’m grateful. Grateful for every opportunity to interact with another individual and spark the fire within them.
One of the most important lessons I’ve learned in life, is also what I want people to know about me and my story. And it’s that everyone is battling a story in their mind. One that will show up in various areas of their lives. One that can spell defeat before they ever even start. The story of victory in my mind came easy because of my nature and my nurture. I was always told I was a winner and nothing less. But I also always had to fight to get what was mine. Nothing came easy. And the victory in that was that I now knew to just keep fighting, and eventually I will win. But I learned that not everyone had that experience. Not everyone had someone to lift them up. Not everyone experienced positive outcomes in their first pursuit of their goals. And some are still battling the after effects of the negativity they’ve experienced. And THAT’s why I use my voice to uplift others. To let them know that as long as they’re breathing, there’s another round. They just have to step into the ring and expect a different outcome.
I believe that every single individual has the ability to bounce back and be successful in whatever it is they do. And I’m here to help.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Well, I am a very simple man who does pretty much the same thing. We would head to Jing for a Friday happy hour. Definitely getting double order of crab rangoons. Saturday we’ll find a nice rooftop (in the summer) to listen to some music and grab a few drinks. There are a few options for that. And Sunday we’ll stuff our face at Crave with some burgers and milkshakes!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Of the people I need to thank, first and foremost is my mother. You are not only a supporter and my #1 fan in everything I do since childhood, but you are a standard setter for those around you. Including me. You helped shape the person I am today, pointed me towards God, and encouraged me to build my life on the Kingdom Principles that I teach others today. Without you I would not have taken the path that I am on today, nor have impacted the lives that I have. Thank you. I love you.
And to my best friend Mello, thank you for being there through the ups and downs on my life’s journey. When the turbulence hit me hard you were there to provide comfort and peace until the ride smoothed out. I will forever be grateful for you and your support during the bad times, and the laughter during the good. I love you. Here’s to the next ride with much much more laughter.
