We had the good fortune of connecting with Myles Rigg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Myles, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
We worked in branding and advertising for a bit and wanted to try our hand at creating our own brand from scratch. We wanted it to be something we believed in and something we could handmake ourselves without a ton of investment upfront. It started as an experiment and has bloomed ever since.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
We’re a candle company that makes national park-inspired scents. Each candle is based on the actual plants and flowers that grow in that park. And we’re proud to support the national park system through our efforts. Getting more people outside to enjoy our lands is really important to us. It helps more people understand the beauty of nature and, hopefully, inspires them to protect nature as well.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
All the parks! Rocky is our most popular national park, but there are three lesser-known that are just as beautiful. Black Canyon, Great Sand Dunes, and Mesa Verde. We hope people visit each one.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Our wives, Lauren and Chelsea, supported us in the beginning and have since joined the company. Both of them have really stepped up and made this company thrive.
