Meet Nancy Reindl | Secretary of the Victorian Society of Colorado

We had the good fortune of connecting with Nancy Reindl and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nancy, can you talk to us a bit about the social impact of your business?
The Victorian Society of Colorado (VSC) educates the community on the rich history and cultural heritage of the Victorian era (1837-1901). Through a diverse range of public events, educational initiatives, and hands-on demonstrations, we engage Coloradans with the timeless traditions and fashions of this influential period. The VSC provides an inclusive community which allows our members to escape into a bygone world full of history and wonder. Our activities include monthly events, such as educational reenactments, balls, teas, lawn parties, socials, and historical site tours organized in an endeavor to preserve the Victorian era’s elegance and style for generations to come.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I was a teacher and retired a few years ago. Last year I took on the role of secretary on the board of the VSC.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
The current success of the Victorian Society of Colorado is due to our president, Nico Gustafson. The VSC was founded in 2009, and we honor what they did. Nico became president in 2023 and the VSC is now thriving under her vision, with three times the membership and consistently sold-out events.
