We had the good fortune of connecting with Nandi Fambro and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Nandi, is there something that you feel is most responsible for your success?
Two things that I have used and that I teach all of my clients that has been necessary for my success: (1) I have my own back and (2) I am willing to be misunderstood. When you go to start any endeavor, whether it’s starting and creating a successful business or a successful marriage, you have to know what you want and be willing to go for it even when doubts creep in…even when other people don’t get it. You have to be willing for other’s not to understand, you have to be willing to go first, to get uncomfortable and to know who you are amongst the noise. The affirmation “I am willing to be misunderstood” has been especially pivotal because it allows me to show up fully for my dreams and my best self, even when I am afraid.
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
As a Life Coach I feel there can be a perception of “go go go!” and hustle. While it is true that it is my job (which I love) to create the results that you want in your life…I also take a lot of time helping clients accept and love what is. When you can meet yourself where you are and enjoy the journey, versus beating yourself up until you get to a goal…you create a lifestyle. My goal as a coach is to yes, help you create new results, but also create sustainable wellness that is authentic to YOU. Again, key words there being sustainable and authentic. So consider a Life Coach the next time you simply want to feel better today. To be honest, I think that is just an important goal as any…feeling good from day to day. Waking up and being happy to be here. Isn’t that what most of us want at the end of the day?
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Some of my favorite places, include Meadowsweet Gifts in Morrison or Jupiter Goods in Denver for gifts and apothecary-like shopping. Cherry Creek Shopping Mall for something a little more traditional in terms of shopping. I love to pop into Gunther Toody’s or Sam’s No.3 when I’m feeling some diner food…Tenneyson if I want a mix of art, shopping and food variety. For hikes and walking I like Lair O’ the Bear, Sloan’s Lake, Red Rocks Amphitheater & Park and Bear Creek Park. There is truly so much to see and do in the Denver Metro area!
Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I want to dedicate this shoutout to client, Artist and Entrepreneur, Elle Powell. Elle is a phenomenal human who has shown up for herself and our community of boss women again and again. She is not only an example of what is possible for ambitious women, but also artists as a whole. Fighting against the “starving artist” stigma, Elle’s illustrations go beyond color and texture, giving us history and depth. I am so proud of the work she has done and continues to do…lookout for her!
