We had the good fortune of connecting with Meredith Richardson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Meredith, what principle do you value most?
Serving people. Martin Luther King said, “greatness is determined by service”. I choose to be the REALTOR who cares about their clients and am dedicated to doing everything I can to assure my clients have an experience that exceeds their expectations from start to finish. At the end of every transaction, I ask myself how could I have better served? When I promote and interview small local businesses, I realize that the owners have poured themselves into their craft and many have taken a hit this past year, so It is my great honor to interview and promote our tenacious Colorado Small Businesses.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I spent 17 years as a Dental Assistant, I learned a lot about people! During this time, I felt much like a bird in a cage that needed to be set free…. I made my way into New Home Construction Sales, this seemed like a good fit, but I was still an EMPLOYEE and saw a flaw in the process, which was how clients were being treated, they were not getting the service they deserved. I took the plunge and became a REALTOR/Broker and started my own business, Meredith Richardson Homes. I chose to hang my license with Keller Williams because let’s face it Gary Keller is about serving others! The pandemic hit and I realized that one of the ways I could better serve the community was supporting and promoting small Colorado local businesses, GO Local! When deciding on what business to interview I choose local businesses that I personally use or others tell me about. I promote them on my website and numerous social media sites. and I send out a newsletter to my present clients, past clients, friends, etc. so everyone can learn about the awesome small business I am interviewing. Real Estate is really about networking and this what I do. Do you need an amazing roofer, stained glass, auto shop, you name it, call me!!! This has NOT been an easy journey, as T.R. says I have had to take “Drastic action”, but I can say the door has been opened and I am flying!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
There are so many fun things to do and taste in the Denver Area, where do I start? Ok, well I would bring my friend to the Botanic Gardens for starters and be transported into the peaceful beauty it offers. I love the lily pads, makes my think of Monet’s home in Giverny! We would go to La Loma in Denver which is by the historic Brown Palace. A friend recently introduced me to this family run traditional Mexican restaurant, great atmosphere and Delish! Another fun filled day would be an early hike at Chautauqua in Boulder to the top of the first and second flatiron, this never gets old! We then would head to one of Boulders local coffee shops like the Laughing Goat and bask in the sun as we do some serious people watching. Of course this needs to be followed up by some shopping on the Pearl Street Mall, a visit to Rebecca’s Apothecary is a must, one block North of Pearl, a wonderful store for those who like to make their own soap, body butters, chap stick, one of a kind scents, you name it. I am thinking a concert at Red Rocks is must for any out of town visitor it is truly one of Denver’s crown jewels. Dinner in historic Morrison then off to a concert….sounds perfect!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I surround myself with an amazing “Tribe” they support me and have believed in me from the start, when any self doubt kicks in they are there to kick my butt and say, “Go get um girl”! Thank you to each and every one of you, I can’t thank you enough because in reality we become the people we surround ourselves with. There are many books that have inspired me in the way of self – improvement, as I read books from some of the greats such as Tony Robbins, Brian Tracy, etc. I am amazed how much of the advice that is given follows some basic principals from the bible… So in the words of Fred Roger’s….There are three ways to ultimate success: The first way is to be kind. The second way is to be kind. The third way is to be kind.
