Hi Nicole, we’d love to hear about how you approach risk and risk-taking.
Risk-taking has been a defining factor in both my personal and professional growth. Living with a rare chronic illness has given me a unique perspective on life—it’s short, unpredictable, and often forces you to adapt quickly. This reality has shaped my “why not” mindset, encouraging me to take chances that align with my goals and values. Over the past 10 years as an entrepreneur, I’ve taken countless leaps of faith, stepping away from stability and the traditional path to pursue both my passions and the challenges that come with them. I don’t see risks as something to avoid; instead, I approach them thoughtfully, weighing potential outcomes and preparing for challenges, while always remembering that the biggest rewards often come from stepping outside of my comfort zone.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
MightyB Embroidery is built on the foundation of exceptional customer service and a commitment to quality. What sets us apart is our understanding of the challenges customers face when placing custom orders. Having owned multiple businesses, I know firsthand how overwhelming it can be to find someone who simplifies the process, communicates clearly, and delivers on their promises. That’s why we prioritize making the ordering process as easy and transparent as possible.

Getting to where we are today has been anything but easy. It’s taken a lot of late nights, learning from mistakes, and staying resilient through challenges. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is the importance of truly listening to what customers need and adapting to meet those needs. I’m incredibly proud of the relationships we’ve built with our clients and how we’re building a brand that people trust.

What I want the world to know about MightyB Embroidery is that we’re not just about making great products—we’re about creating an experience that leaves customers feeling valued and understood. We love helping businesses show off their brands and look good doing it! Whether it’s a business needing branded apparel or an individual planning a special event, we’re here to bring their vision to life with care, creativity, and precision.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my best friend was visiting Colorado, I’d plan a week packed with some of my favorite local adventures! We’d start with a trip to Red Rocks Amphitheater, exploring the trails during the day and, if possible, catching a concert in the evening. For a fun and laid-back dinner, we’d grab a mountain-style pizza from Beau Jo’s.

No trip to Colorado is complete without experiencing its love for sports, so we’d head to a professional game—whether it’s the Broncos, Nuggets, Avalanche, or Rockies. Midweek, I’d take them to a mountain resort where we could go snowboarding, soak in some hot springs, or both! My favorites are Grandby or Steamboat for the perfect balance of activity and relaxation.

To wrap up the week, we’d head back into Denver and start the day off with a coffee at a local shop like Corvus and a relaxing walk around Wash Park. After soaking in the scenery, we’d head to the historic Brown Palace for afternoon tea. From there, we’d check out the local events calendar to see what’s happening around town, whether it’s a festival, live music, or something uniquely Denver. We’d finish the day by grabbing happy hour with friends and finding a rooftop spot to hang out, enjoying the city and mountain views!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I’d like to shoutout my husband, Michael. We’ve been together for over 11 years, and from day one, he has been my biggest supporter. He believes in me even when I’ve doubted myself. He pushes me to dream bigger than I ever thought possible and is always there to encourage me on the tough days. Whether it’s offering a listening ear, helping me brainstorm ideas, or simply cheering me on, his unwavering support has been instrumental in my journey. I wouldn’t be where I am today without his love, encouragement, and belief in me.
