Hi Odelia, where are your from? We’d love to hear about how your background has played a role in who you are today?
My upbringing in Paris, France, and subsequent years in Israel have deeply influenced the person I am today. Growing up surrounded by Paris’s artistic richness exposed me to a world of culture, where I spent countless hours exploring museums and libraries. This early immersion fostered a profound appreciation for art, literature, and history, shaping my insatiable curiosity about the world.

Transitioning to life in Israel, particularly living on a kibbutz in the Negev desert, provided a stark contrast to my Parisian upbringing. Within the tight-knit communal lifestyle of the kibbutz, I learned invaluable lessons in cooperation, community. This experience broadened my perspective, offering insights into the challenges and rewards of communal living while deepening my understanding of the region’s complex history and culture.

Throughout my educational journey spanning both France and Israel, I acquired diverse perspectives and skills, reflected in the degrees and certifications I obtained. This multidimensional education further fueled my open-mindedness, enabling me to embrace different cultures, ideologies, and ways of life with ease.

Overall, my upbringing in Paris and my time in Israel have shaped me into a culturally aware, adaptable, and open-minded individual. I approach life with a curiosity and appreciation for diversity, drawing on the richness of my experiences to navigate and engage with the world around me.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally? What sets you apart from others?

I’m an author, a guided autobiography instructor and a The Legacy Writing Guide.

What sets my writing apart is the unique perspective I bring, influenced by my multicultural background and diverse life experiences. This fusion of cultures and perspectives infuses my writing with depth, authenticity, and a richness that I believe sets it apart.

I am most proud of the journey I’ve undertaken to get to where I am today as a writer. It has been a challenging path, marked by moments of self-doubt, rejection, and uncertainty. However, through perseverance, dedication, and the guidance of mentors, I have continued to pursue my passion for writing.

One of the key lessons I’ve learned is the importance of authenticity and staying true to my voice as a writer. In a world saturated with content, being genuine and true to oneself is essential for creating meaningful connections with readers.

I’ve also learned the value of resilience and adaptability in the face of setbacks. Rejection and criticism are inevitable parts of the writing journey, but learning to embrace feedback, grow from it, and continue moving forward has been crucial for my development as a writer.

What I want the world to know about my writing is that it’s a reflection of who I am as an individual. Each piece I write is imbued with my passion, curiosity, and desire to explore the human experience. I hope that my writing resonates with readers, provoking thought, sparking conversations, and inspiring others to embrace their own unique voices and stories.
