Meet Ohgee | Rap Artist / Entertainer / entrepreneur

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ohgee and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi OHGEE, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Honestly after owning 2 body shops in the past and failing and now being an independent artist . Depending on what the business is and what’s needs to be accomplished to reach the goals you want to achieve I feel like proper planing and proper capitol are the keys I go by now . When I had the auto body shop I was young and wanted something big to happen so fast that I jumped into things a little too quickly . But I don’t regret losing my shops I learned a lot from the experience. And I believe writing out a list of steps or goal list basically and just taking the risk investing all your extra time and energy and just 1 by 1 start crossing out each step as you go to reach what you need for the business to be successful. but as long as the vision and the drive is there and theirs skill behind it I believe dreams can happen

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I find that I have my own personal unique sound and style. Basically I just pretty much vent to this music. It’s been my therapy since I was a kid. I’ve been writing music and freestyle and rapping since 14-15
Years old . Not only is it my dream. But I used to vision it always growing up and as a kid I also have a strong passion for it. There’s still a lot of learning even about myself. I’m not really too social these days kind of I’m still learning to try to open up more or open up again. But I’ve had a lot of obstacles in my life a lot of traumatic situations basically just a lot of chaos and craziness and hurt and pain.I could get more into about it, but it’s way too much to even start explaining or writing about A lot of losses in my family members and friends a lot of people I care about or my family cares about. What inspires me to keep going and go harder is my beautiful daughter and the visions i always had that i am meant to be someone and be something. For my daughter I want to be able to provide the world for her and give her things that I never had growing up and to make up also for a lot of lost time. I also want to see my close ones and people that I care about being able to enjoy life again and smile, I want to be able to retire my mother and I don’t plan on stopping until I’m able to reach those things. Also I feel like achieving my dreams will also give me answers to why my life was so miserable and make it worth it if that makes sense to y’all ..
and I want y’all to know I do have a lot more peaceful and happy music coming this first album I released, and this whole last year. I just needed to get a lot of things off my chest. I have and had a lot of anger, frustrations fears, betrayal, and a ton of pain from over the years that I just need to release in these first series of songs, so there is a lot of violence. there is a lot of anger and frustration in it, but I could literally dissect every single verse from all of my songs. And explain how I experience that in my life or what it means to me. I feel like my music is genuine which I plan on keeping my music real and genuine specially these days when we’re living in a world full of fake, And deceit but one thing about me I’m a go-getter. I’ve always been I like working hard and I like chasing something. I appreciate everybody that has supported my music and movement. It means the world to me, I’m just put the real gritty real life and truth into my music. like I said it’s therapy for me more than anything. I’ve learned through these years. Life is way too short and keep your family members and close ones close. keep any distractions any f*ke friends any pretend people and people they have motives behind their actions or do not want to see you succeed. I keep those people far away from me and cut them off. because it’s poison and a drag I want yall to know that I do plan on learning how to communicate better and being more open and doing more live streams and live videos to be able to interact with ppl more. I just suffer from a lot of PTSD and trust issues, but I am appreciative of everybody supporting me. And with the continuance of the support, I promise you all I will take this to the next level and reach my dreams. This music is literally all I have these days!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Flannigan’s ! , south beach I got a couple spots I like , I don’t really do the club scenes these days. I’m more of a food and drinks type of person. I do love enjoying places that have a lot of beautiful women. we out shooting some pool . When iam in Denver and Colorado I enjoy going for some drinks downtown but most of all enjoy going up in the mountains and shooting some guns at the range up there or finding new places I haven’t eaten at , hitting the dispensaries is always a plus! I like cookies off Evans or Native Roots both fiya . But honestly these days is way different for me I really don’t go out much . I rather wake up early and get some time alone watching the sunrise at redrocks or rides up to evergreen or Blackhawk
