We had the good fortune of connecting with Paola Olivas and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Paola, maybe we can start at the very start – the idea – how did you come up with the idea for your business?
Being a Bank Manager for 7 years and counting was numbing my creative thinking. Everything is very structured. I know I needed to start something that would help get my mind going to a different direction. This idea of starting a Boutique also helped me as a first time mom. I was not sure of what to wear anymore and I lost myself for a bit. Going to stores to shop for clothes was not the same anymore. I started looking on how to open a clothing boutique online, looking for vendors, getting really exited about the different pieces that I will be launching at my store and knowing they were quality, everyday items for the working woman of today’s society. I started my online Boutique as I knew I could keep my full time job while creating, ordering, packing and shipping for my business. This has been the best decision,as I get to play around with social media, explore the different trends, interact with my customers and see my business grow. I have been open for close to a year now and I have learned so much. My website www.casadelasfloresboutique.com is designed, operated and maintained by me. Eventually, I would like to persue being a Full-time business owner and opening a brick and mortar Boutique.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I own a Women’s Clothing Boutique. I am creating a Girl Tribe where I support Women and what we stand for! In my online Boutique you will find from everyday tops to going out outfits. I want to make every women that shops at my boutique feel Special and Empowered. I care about the quality of the items, the packaging, and creating a memorable experience. Now being a first time mom I know how hard it can be to find the right style and fit. This has not been easy and I am learning as I go. I am an over thinker, I have learned that is okay to take a break to rebrand and get organized. I get exited to see my clothing being worn and the confident boost it creates! My brand is still small but I have cherish every step of the way!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Living in Colorado there’s just so much to do. I have lived around the western slope and now in Noco. We will start our day with a Sugar Mama coffee from The Human Bean, depending if we want to stay north we can check out The shops at Centerra for some retail therapy, ending our night at Lunas Tacos where they have amazing tacos an a variety of cocktails. One of the days we would have to find our way to the beer spa to see what is all about. Another must, will be the Botanic Gardens to see the Christmas lights. The next day we would enjoy a good breakfast and a mimosa tower at Butters. Everyone that knows me knows how much I love pizza,so it’s not a surprise that we would have pizza night one of the nights, sipping on wine in our pjs.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My whole vision would not have turned into a reality without the support of my husband, parents and sister! They have been there all along the way
