We had the good fortune of connecting with Rachele Scevola and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rachele, what do you want your legacy to be?
The legacy I desire to leave behind in this world is one of healing, honesty, compassion, and leadership. I want to be remembered as someone who never gave up on showing people the power that they have within themselves to heal. Someone who wasn’t afraid to live in her truth and tell her story, so that others might learn from her experiences. Someone who healed herself and wasn’t afraid to call people forward in their own healing journeys. Someone who lived meaningfully and with compassion and love. Someone who truly embodied the work and the wisdom it took to lead. Someone who showed people another way to heal. Someone who showed people a different path, a path outside of conventional systems of care, where they hold all the power. The power to not only heal, but transform their lives and experience tremendous amounts of joy, peace, and bliss along the way. Someone who showed people a way to healing that isn’t outside themselves, but within. Someone who fully acknowledged the impact of emotions and trauma in the development of illness and disease. Someone who showed people how to access and release stored emotions and trauma from their bodies so that they could live freer. Someone who showed people a way to heal that gives them personal autonomy and asks them to take radical responsibility for their health and their role as their own healers. Someone who showed them that it all starts with their breath.
What should our readers know about your business?
As a breathwork facilitator and coach, I help people heal and transform their lives through their breath. After having such profound experiences with breathwork in the midst of many life challenges, my journey has led me out of my over decade long nursing career and into this powerful healing practice. I’ve gone from extreme burnout, overwhelm and stress to calm, energized and thriving with clarity. Breathwork hasn’t just changed my life, it’s transformed it, and it can do the same for you.
Breathwork is a rapidly growing healing modality that encompasses many different breathing techniques that help us access healing and deeper states of consciousness. It’s rising popularity is for good reason because the benefits are essentially endless- from relieving stress and anxiety to processing stored energies and emotions to feeling lighter, freer and so much more. In particular, the primary style of breathwork I facilitate is a guided three-part active meditation that will help you get out of your head and back into your body, where you can recharge, reset, and reconnect with yourself quicker than you ever thought possible. The level of transformation that can be experienced in just one session is mind blowing. This transformational practice goes beyond basic meditation and many other healing modalities to potentially change your life at a rapid pace. Currently, I offer virtual and in-person private one-on-one, pair, and group breathwork sessions, as well as weekly virtual group classes, corporate breathwork, and local breathwork workshops.
At present, I see a huge gap in conventional healthcare and mental health support and desire to empower individuals through breathwork and complementary practices that help facilitate self-healing, personal growth, and transformation. I really strive to serve, impact, and create community through my offerings because I believe that when we heal ourselves, we heal the world.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m still fairly new to the area, but I would 100% take anyone who visits immediately to Rivers and Roads Coffee for their delicious drinks and made from scratch gluten free food options. You won’t regret trying their sausage breakfast sandwich!
I’m also really looking forward to checking out Meow Wolf’s third permanent immersive art exhibition that’s open here now. I fully expect it to be memorable and surreal.
Finally, if you have the chance, get tickets to an event at Red Rocks Amphitheatre, or at the very least check out the grounds! It’s such a beautiful venue and park.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I wouldn’t be where I am today if it weren’t for my family, friends, significant other, and mentors. They’ve supported me with nothing but love and encouragement on this very unconventional path I’ve chosen and believed in me during times when I had difficulty believing in myself.
In particular, I’d like to recognize my mentors and fellow breathwork facilitators, Cory Ostroot and Jessica Waala of The Healing Couple, for their leadership, integrity, and heart. Without them, I would not be where I am today, both personally and professionally. They were my first introduction to this powerful healing modality and have been an integral part of my own healing journey and transformation over the years, as well as incredible teachers, cheerleaders, and true friends. They’ve taken breathwork to the next level with their RESET Breathwork Method and comprehensive breathwork facilitator training, and I’m so grateful to have learned from them. I will carry their impact on my life with me forever.
