We had the good fortune of connecting with Ransom Roberts and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ransom, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
My thought process with starting my own business, initially started out with me getting my podcast Xpansion With Ransom going. I initially thought that I was going to try and be a YouTuber and make content until I realized I wanted to do more than just my podcast. My podcast essentially helped me blueprint/map out what direction I wanted to go on. From there, I started thinking about who, what, where. All the things that I thought a business needed to succeed. I also thought about different ways to achieve said things. I never go the conventional route typically so I knew getting my business going was about to be foreign yet homey experience. I also reflected on the things I picked up from working the good o’l 9-5 job. What structures they had setup, what systems they used, the functions, everything!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
My business is my authenticity in a nutshell! When you come to explore what Xpansion With Ransom is, it is a cue that you are ready to eXpand in some way or form and I’m that gal who can get you right! My work is a true showing of my authenticity in being a messenger of the Divine. By speaking to you on my show or by attending a personal/group session to experience my work, I will have unlocked something for you to discover in yourself.

I specialize in taking in those who are ready to undergo deep healing in the subconscious space of the body. Holding you at your most vulnerable point while you undergo the metamorphosis of your own soul, is what I set out to do. I am not healing anyone. I am a healer because I learned how to heal myself and have been honored in this life to be a leader, role model, and teacher for those who are ready to do the same.

It wasn’t easy at all because the field I am in already gets a lot of skepticism so I really had to move with integrity to show that I am not one of these scammers just trying to make a profit but that I’m actually here for you and your journey.

I learned to stand strong in who I am and the “why” behind my business. To remember the mission and not to people please just because my light shines brighter than some can handle. I also just embraced that people are always going to have something to say, so make sure I am doing my best at what I do. Showing up and being honest and transparent.

I’d also say, if you’re trying to create a business with lil to no money, you can totally do it but you gotta use your intuition and discernment. I did it but I had to be patient with certain things and more proactive on other things.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Hmmmmmmm…. I honestly don’t get out like that unless its for nature or an event. Plus, I’d rather someone tell me what they are looking for and then give recs

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Really just a shout out to community. To those who see me and resonate with my work and vybe. It’s them and their feedback that gave me more wisdom and motivation to keep going. Without them, I wouldn’t know if this direction was truly a right one.
