We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Holzapfel and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, can you tell us more about your background and the role it’s played in shaping who you are today?
Before moving to Colorado in 2010, I grew up throughout New England and Northern California. Moving so frequently, forced me to continually adapt to new situations and how to quickly befriend new people. After high school graduation, I attended Berklee College of Music before George Washington University, eventually majoring in Sports & Event Management. I love events and got quite a bit of experience planning museum openings and concert series to interning at the Tampa Super Bowl
Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
Do Well Concepts, LLC is a brand bringing metaphysical healing tools into your everyday lifestyle. I am a claircognizant empath and use different claire senses and connection with spirit to guide me in creating clients’ custom orgone pyramids and crystal bead bracelets. I am also a reiki practitioner and infuse each piece with positive life force energy. Throughout my life, I have always had a strong sense of spirituality, but while I was pregnant with my second child, the magick really started!
While creating orgone pyramids, I began meditating to connect with clients’ spirit guides and would see the exact color of crystal needed to aid in their healing. I would ask my spirit guide for confirmation of what I envisioned and would get chills (my truth meter) when correct. I learned about the crystals I was shown by slowly purchasing about 20 different types of tumbled healing crystals as I started my orgone pyramid journey. I studied a crystal encyclopedia while holding crystals in my hand to feel their energy and different vibrations. I learned about energetic chakras and how crystals can aid in their realignment. After clients received my orgone pyramids and confirmed the accuracy of my analysis of each crystal that was needed for their current situation, this slowly built up confidence and certainty in my gift.
During the pandemic, I took another leap and decided to get into jewelry making, specifically crystal bracelets with a clasp fitting, to make it even easier for those curious about healing crystals to slowly dabble and familiarize themselves with crystals’ properties and vibrations. Wearable healing jewelry still upholds the crystals’ metaphysical properties and allows people to incorporate crystals in their everyday style. Simple, but elegantly stated, you can dress Do Well Concepts’ bracelets up or down. They are perfect for everyday wear or a night on the town! Each strung bead is energetically programmed with its specific intention. Starting your self love journey? Call on Do Well Concepts’ Self Love Restorative Bracelet to restore your confidence & self love. Together, rhodonite and rose quartz ease any past trauma and balance the heart chakra in order to receive love from others.Since becoming reiki attuned in November, I am now able to program each piece with pure life force energy, bringing even more good energy to your everyday lifestyle.
Aside from orgone pyramids and crystal beaded bracelets, I offer crystal analysis, reiki sessions, oracle card readings, and even event management!
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
After having two boys less than fifteen months apart, we ended up nicknaming our guest suite “Holzapfel Hotel.” When they both were born, our closest relative was nearly a thousand miles away! In 2016, we spent more than one-fifth of the year with family in town! My husband and I enjoy bringing our guests to see local tourist attractions, but generally gravitate to the “local gems.” We have brought family all over the Front Range from touring Garden of the Gods, mini hikes near Stanley Hotel, feeding chipmunks at Prospect Mountain, exploring Pearl Street in Boulder, all the way up to Terry Bison Ranch in Cheyenne, Wyoming. We make sure to dine at locally owned, Colorado-centric gastropubs and restaurants like MashLab Brewing, Chimney Park, Flagstaff House, and Beaujo’s Pizza. And you cannot beat a locally brewed beer like Avery’s or hard cider from Blown Spoke!
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Although cliche, my family has been very supportive of my journey. Throughout my upbringing, they have always been open about spirituality and guided me through a life changing loss. At only 40 years young, my dad succumbed to a short 6-month battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. As a teenager, you are constantly asking, “WHY? How could this happen to me?” Being only 15 years old at the time of his passing, it was imperative that I properly grieve the biggest loss one could bear, while still maintaining my mental health. Most teenagers have never endured the heartbreaking loss of a parent, making any friend support difficult to find in our small, private high school. It was incredibly helpful to have family surrounding me during the grieving process to answer all of my existential questions I had about death. My mom gifted me a journal and a set of tarot cards. I felt like I could journal about my feelings, but also begin to communicate with spirit or God, a key to my healing success. Throughout my grief journey, my mom and I frequented therapists, psychic mediums, and astrologists looking for answers and trying to further heal. Sixteen years later for Christmas, my uncle gifted me a handcrafted orgonite pyramid from a psychic medium/clairvoyant and longtime friend of his. In my analytical nature, it was then that I began researching the metaphysical properties of orgone and crystals. It was then that my business was born!
