We had the good fortune of connecting with Rena Madison and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rena, what habits do you feel play an important role in your life?
Hard work and dedication are the heart of this business. Even when times are slow or a piece isn’t going as planned push through and do your best- it will always pay off. Create pieces you would have in your own home and someone else will love it too, it’s not about the trends or what’s currently popular but what you are drawn to.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Being in Health Care and working as a Nurse for twenty years has taken a toll, especially during the pandemic. I found myself turning towards creativity and using my hands and other side of the brain to balance the struggle of work/life balance. Creating something that someone loves enough to put in their own home is an honor. There is no better therapy following a traumatic event than the peace of creating something of beauty.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Colorado has so much to offer- depending on the season, a few days getting Mountain air hiking, rafting and enjoying the scenery followed by a concert at Red Rocks would be the perfect week. Hanging on the patio at a local brewery and always getting the dessert 😉

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
Finding the beauty in old objects, the wear of time and use, stemming from what my parents found value in growing up gave me the foundation of wanting to honor vintage items to give them a new life in current times. They truly don’t make them like they used to.
