We had the good fortune of connecting with Rob Peterson and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Rob, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Entrepreneurship runs through my veins! My mom, two stepdads, and a whirlwind of businesses—my childhood was a crash course in the art of enterprise. Then, in a twist of
fate, my boss converted me into a 1099 role post-08 recession. It was like being pushed
into the entrepreneurial pool, and you know what? Instead of treading cautiously, I decided to leap in with a spectacular cannonball!
What should our readers know about your business?
Like I have said before, Paint Denver wouldn’t be much without the fantastic folks on our team. I mean, I love it when they rock it, even if it means I have to step aside to let them
shine. When we face challenges, we’ve often tackled them head-on with some good ol’
elbow grease. But, let’s be real, relying solely on brute force is like trying to fix a
computer with a sledgehammer – it might work, but it ain’t pretty. Implementation is not
my strong suit, it’s the reason why I surround myself with people who can! Paint Denver
is all about the people – our awesome crews, our rockstar team, our fantastic clients,
and the lively community we’re a part of and support. We’re all about human connections
and the connections we make along the way. We love celebrating the awesome people
who make it shine, and we’re honored to be a colorful part of others’ journey.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
You know, my favorite places in the city, aren’t even in the city! They’re up in the majestic mountains. And let me tell you, my mountain adventure days kick off at the
crack of dawn, like 6 or 6:30 AM. Picture this: meeting up at the tippy-top of Berthoud
Pass with the sun just starting to peek over the hills. But don’t think I’m some kind of
mountain machine all day; in the afternoon, it’s all about a well-deserved nap – gotta
recharge those hiking batteries, right?
Now, when the evening rolls around, it’s time to gather the troops. Friends, family, you
name it, they’re all welcome to my place. We fire up the grill, cook up a storm, and feast
like there’s no tomorrow. Good food, great company, and mountain views – that’s the
recipe for a perfect evening
You might be wondering if a longer trip looks any different. Well, not really! It’s like hitting
the replay button on my favorite mountain day, just with a little more time to soak it all in.
It’s amazing how the simple joys of mountain life can make any day feel like a holiday.
So there you have it, my mountain escape plan – early mornings, mountain highs, and
evenings filled with laughter and
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
My teams are the lifeblood of Paint Denver; they are the ones who keep the wheels turning and the gears grinding. Without their enthusiasm and hard work, I’d be as lost as
a cat in a dog park. They take immense pride in what we do, and it’s not just a job for
them; it’s a passion. It’s like having a team of superheroes who are always ready to save
the day, and they approach their work with a sense of ownership that’s truly remarkable.
They bring fresh ideas to the table and embrace new challenges, making our
organization more innovative and adaptable. They are the backbone of Paint Denver’s
success, and I’m truly grateful for their dedication and hard work.
