We had the good fortune of connecting with Robb Gregg and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Robb, we’d love to hear more about your end-goal, professionally.
The end goal is to become the best production salsa, hot sauce and spice blend company in the world. Going national to introduce people on how sauces and spice blends should taste. Too many companies cut corners for a profit by adding fillers and ingredients you can’t understand. At Ideal Foods Company we never cut corners and only add ingredients you would proudly serve to your own family. As we grow, we’d like to help people in need by donating to local foodbanks and outreaches.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
It all started in 2012 when I was on the quest for the perfect salsa. Every store-bought salsa I would try always had some weird and odd aftertaste. So, I started concocting and perfecting my own salsas and sharing them with others. People couldn’t believe how good they tasted, I immediately started filling orders and Blend Salsa was born. By using only real all natural fresh fire roasted ingredients and nothing from a can, I was able to eliminate that odd aftertaste. I later moved to Mexico in 2016 and 17 to better perfect my salsa and Mexican culinary skills. I opened and ran my own taco stand Salsas Ensenda. That experience exposed me to many local ingredients and a certain creativeness. This allowing me to come up with some of the best salsa, hot sauce and spice blends you’ll ever taste. We’re currently in 60 stores and restaurants in Colorado and Wyoming. Looking to grow into another 200 stores by the end of 2024. This has been no easy task with a very saturated salsa and hot sauce market in Colorado. I overcame this saturated market by producing the best tasting salsas, hot sauces you can find, Blend Salsa, Baja Hot Sauce and Pure Spice Blends products are Small Batch, 100% Vegan, All Natural with No Preservatives, Gluten Free and NON-GMO. So, Taste Fresh and rest assured you’re getting very clean products you can enjoy with your friends and family. Bringing each experience a unique and authentic taste of Mexico.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
My best friend just arrived in Colorado and we’re panning the best week ever! So, I think well head to Winter Park for a fun filled day of mountain biking, miniature golf, rock climbing and alpine slide action. On the way home will fill up on a Colorado tradition for over 50 years at Beau Jo’s Pizza in Idaho Springs. My Baja Hot Sauce happens to be the first local hot sauce they’ve ever carried. The next day we wake to grab the best breakfast in Denver at Fox and The Hen. We both will be having their signature Huevos Rancheros created by Chef Carrie Baird, who beat Bobby Flay with her amazing dish on his Food Network show, Beat Bobby Flay. We walk off breakfast with a tour of the Highlands and take the scenic bridge over to LODO. We visit all the cool and unique store’s doing some shopping. We grab a late lunch at My Brother’s Bar, the oldest bar and restaurant in Denver serving the best burgers in town. On the 3rd day we head to Broadway Street and grab lunch at The Hornet and shop at some of the coolest retro stores around. That evening we saw a great independent film at the Mayan Theater. The next day we Uber to Cherry Creek for shopping and restaurant hopping. Lunch at Little Ollie’s is always a tasty experience. Today, day number 5 is golf at Castle Pines and a stop at The Outlets in Castle Rock for some more shopping. Topping the day of with the best steak dinner ever at Shanahan’s Steakhouse. Heading to the 16th Street Mall today for lunch at the Rock Bottom Brewery and to catch a Rockies game. It was a great experience for my best friend and on the 7th day we rested.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?

Also, Chef Carrie Baird with Fox and The Hen and owner with The Culinary Creative Group for all her support.
