We had the good fortune of connecting with Rosie Haggard and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Rosie, why did you decide to pursue a creative path?
I chose an artist career for many reasons. The first reason would be that if I was going to do something all day, most of my week, I wanted to enjoy it. I tried out a class in interior design because I thought it would be fun, and from there, my favorite class I took within the program was kitchen and bath. I did not know or care if I could make a living in this field, but I did know that if I got to wake up everyday knowing that I get to design kitchens and bathrooms, I would be happy with my lifelong career choice. To this day I am still passionate about the kitchens I design and with each project, I passionately design each cabinet layout and still get excited about each project because it is so much fun!

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
RMH Kitchen and Bath provides quality cabinets, cabinet designs, and design services to all projects. I take a lot of pride providing a personalized experience to my clients through creativity, dedication, organization, with a systematic approach to each design. I did not want to work for other companies where main goal was the financial bottom line, not the design and client’s investment. I take a lot of pride in my systematic approach, through double checking all my work and carefully making design decisions. I love that my company offers a mobile showroom approach and I bring cabinet samples to the client and provide services at the job site or their home. This is the most practical since that is the space we will be designing. I started this company because I wanted to take my time with my clients and be able to make decisions based upon what works for both of us. Due to the pandemic, I am able to virtually provide services seamlessly, my schedule is flexible, and I get to be around my family a lot more. Owning any business is not typically easy. Each design is different and some custom kitchens comes with questions. It is a little tricky on who to ask about those design questions. The business can feel lonely and if a project has something go wrong with the cabinets, I am the one and only person to help fix it if its materials based. This can be challenging when you have to wear many hats and things are busy. The best way to overcome these situations are to just go through the motions calmly learn from any mistake, and make sure you are there to support the clients who need a little extra attention. As for the lessons I have learned….so many! Everyday I learn something new. I approach my projects systematically because it streamlines the process and I can catch any changes needed early on to not hold up any project when it is time to install. I also learned the benefits of having a great team to work with through my projects. To work with a great team with great communication and respect is key. I am always finding the best referrals I can to help benefit my clients with reliable sources to lean on through their projects. RMH Kitchen and Bath has been open since September 2017. I built the company from the ground up and it primarily operates with passion for design. If you are looking for a company that will listen, take the time to pay attention to details, provide personalized support from the start to finish, this is the company for you.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I’ve been extremely fortunate to have help from others along the way. First I would like to give my husband all the credit he deserves. He has stuck by me and supported me throughout this whole process. He is amazing and I appreciate every minute of his support! Secondly, my family has been just as supportive and cheering me along the way. They may not be in the same field as me, but the kind words of encouragement go a long way! My friends and teachers from Arapahoe Community College definitely deserve a lot of credit. The group of lifelong friends I have met there and the patience, knowledge, and wisdom that was passed along from the teachers are a Godsend. I especially appreciate the high standards and patience the teachers have shown me. I had so much to learn and I am still learning, but they have given me a great foundation to start from. The companies I would like to give thanks to are: Bath and Granite, whom has contracted my services and entrusted me to design many of their kitchens and Hawk Construction/ Kitchens Inspired, for welcoming me with open arms to use their showroom, providing a little support and knowledge when needed, and always being supportive. Nathan Mayo with Sollid Cabinetry, you rock too! I appreciate you more than words can explain! Thank you for your continuous support and promptness and just chatting when I need a good talk or advice about something. Christie Del Cioto with Sherwin Williams and the other staff members have been so great to me! Thank you for inviting me to your events, its been a great networking opportunity for me! My friends are so supportive and always have been. I have been so lucky to be encouraged, I have been provided feedback, a few friends have even reached out and entrusted me to help them with their kitchen remodel. I would love to specifically thank Kayla Mae Wilkerson, you’re the best friend ever! Lisa Elrod, I always appreciate your referrals, thank you for entrusting me with your kitchen remodel and helping me with my kiddos.
