We had the good fortune of connecting with Samantha Schultz and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Samantha, what do you attribute your success to?

I can definitely say that staying true to the experience I want to provide and the client I want to serve is what has created success for my agency. Not all travel agencies are created equal, nor do we market to all the same people, so I know that my services are not for everyone and that is totally ok! I personally believe that my business isn’t what you think of when you hear the words: travel agency.

My clients are exceptional people who value their time and seek expertise when it comes to how they spend their precious free time.

They’re looking for life enriching international experiences, many that they may not even know exist. This goes beyond the old travel agency days of simply booking a plane ticket and hotel. I cater to clientele that expect more out of their vacations, coupled with a VIP level of service – this is what makes my agency different. By understanding the unique and creative wants and needs of my clients, they get their time back, maximize their investment, and benefit from my personal travel to over 70 countries and all 7 continents.

Ultimately, I serve clients that want something beyond a transactional online booking, those are the types where you have no one to consult to truly identify if you’re booking the right trip, with the experiences that are desired. My clients are the type that hire out services that they realize they aren’t an expert in, because they are seeking more than the cheapest price, they are seeking the best value for their investment – most of us know travel isn’t cheap and why would you want to risk wasting money on something that isn’t the perfect trip, right?

What should our readers know about your business?

Entrepreneurship is the ultimate rollercoaster ride. Add in a pandemic that crushed the travel industry and I am incredibly proud that my business has survived all of the ups and downs.

The lessons I have learned for providing a service that has so many uncontrollables is setting expectations up front. I can plan the perfect custom itinerary for any destination around the world and there will be factors such as airline strikes, hurricanes, or wildfires and many other factors that will arise while a client is in a destination that there would be no way to predict. But having support and an advocate at your side is the value I provide to my clients. They have the peace of mind that they are not alone when the uncontrollables interrupt their travels – this is where I work hard to get everything back on track.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc. In your view what are some of the most fun, interesting, exciting people, places or things to check out?

I would say absolutely a trip to Red Rocks Amphitheatre! Even if you’re not going for a concert or event, simply walking the grounds has breathtaking views. Garden of the Gods and Pikes Peak are definitely a must see south of Denver. I am also an avid hiker and brewery lover, so an itinerary of hikes throughout the state with a post-hike beer would be mixed into those iconic spots.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
It often takes the encouragement and push from others that see more within you, especially when times get incredibly tough in the day to day grind of entrepreneurship. I have so many thanks for my husband and my local Denver friends that have lifted me up and been my biggest cheerleaders and supporters. My loyal clients that trust in my expertise and come back to work with me year after year make all of the ups and downs worth it!
