Meet Sandra Lin Cue | Owner and Tattoo Artist

We had the good fortune of connecting with Sandra Lin Cue and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sandra Lin, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
It was really important to me to create a space that would allow myself and other artists to grow and flourish. I am a strong believer in fixing another woman’s crown. I am not competing with the world, I am only competing with myself. So I wanted to create a space where other female artists could come and have a safe space to grow and create incredible art. Grow as their own business owners as well. Everyday I push myself and the other artists in the shop to be better than they were the day before. To strive to always improve themselves and others around them. I am also incredibly lucky to have found my person in life that has helped me grow this shop, this business, and this brand. We have spent many sleepless nights building this dream. My wife Holly is not just my partner in life, but she is my partner in this business. We inspire and challenge each other everyday to make this business and brand succeed.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
I own Disruptive Ink Tattoos. Our shop and business is different than others out there because of what we offer. Not only the space and experience we offer to our clients. But also the space and experience we offer to our artists. We cultivate an environment for growth. Not only artistically but professionally as well. We want our artists to become the best in the Industry. We want them to go out and open their own shops. It was not easy, but then again, anything worth doing is never easy. We of course have had our challenges, finding the right artists that shared the same vision. Overcoming negative feedback. Not everyone understands your vision at first. You keep going though, keep working hard and do not give up.
We named our shop Disruptive for a reason, we are going to disrupt this Industry. If you don’t believe in us now, just wait. I promise you.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
Colorado and Denver have so much to offer. I would make sure that we saw the mountains and the City for sure!
That we went to some great local restaurants. By my house is Las Margs, family owned and delicious food! Then the White Chocolate grill, hands down my favorite restaurant!
Catch a soccer game or any of our amazing sports teams! Of course a trip to the tattoo shop, because who doesn’t want a tattoo on vacation!

I want to give a shoutout to Holly Cue. She is a business owner, product creator, and Financial advisor. Always inspiring everyone around her.
