We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Turnidge and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
Working in a service-based job is a rollercoaster. The volatility of maintaining a consistent book of business can be overwhelming at times. It’s a unique challenge to continuously show up, provide value, and build trust in a client-facing role. The stress of uncertainty is real, and unless you’ve experienced it, it’s hard to grasp how demanding it can be.

But the rewards? They’re unmatched.

This job has given me the opportunity to connect with so many incredible people—each on their own unique journey. From those just starting out to others thriving at the peak of their careers, I get to witness and support every stage of life. It’s a privilege to build meaningful, personal relationships with such a diverse and inspiring group of individuals.

The trust, connection, and shared growth make all the challenges worth it. To everyone who’s allowed me to be a part of their journey—thank you. You’re the reason I love what I do.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
Fear Not Wellness is a unique health and fitness service, offering corrective exercise, personal training, customized meal plans, nutrition guidance, and workout plans. What sets us apart is our empathetic and personalized approach to wellness. We emerged as a community-focused enterprise during the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, led by my personal vision to help individuals improve their health and well-being in uncertain times.

I founded Fear Not Wellness nearly five years ago, starting with just a few clients in my basement and striving to offer support both in-person and virtually. The experience of building a business from the ground up during such a transformative period was not without its challenges. Initially, I faced constraints with limited resources and space. However, through dedication and a deep commitment to my clients’ health, I was able to expand into a local gym, allowing us to better serve the community.

I’m most proud of the positive impact we have had on clients’ lives and the growth we achieved while maintaining our core values. This journey has taught me the importance of adaptability, resilience, and fostering lasting relationships with clients. The satisfaction of seeing individuals regain strength, fitness, and confidence continues to drive my passion for this business.

What I want the world to know about Fear Not Wellness is that we are not just another fitness program. We are a force for positive change, offering support and empowerment to every individual we work with. Our story is one of resilience and growth from adversity, and we are excited to continue expanding and adapting to meet the needs of our community.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Fear Not Wellness has only been successful due to the endless support of the people in my life.

My husband, my friends, and my incredible clients have been my foundation. Their belief in me, even when I’ve doubted myself, has been the fuel for this journey of becoming a business owner. Every piece of advice, every kind word, and every moment of encouragement has shaped the growth of my brand and business.

My husband has been an unwavering support system as the business has grown and evolved. He’s been my strength when times are slow or not going as planned.

My friends have always been around me to encourage me to branch out on my own while also utilizing my services and referring me to more people.

When I left to start my own business my clients followed me without hesitation. Their belief in me pushed me to be brave enough to start my business.

Fear Not Wellness is more than a brand—it’s a reflection of the community around me.
