We had the good fortune of connecting with Sarah Zupek and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sarah, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
It was less of a thought process, and more of a higher calling. For years, I’ve known that my purpose is to help others heal, expand, grow beyond limitations, and create ultimate fulfillment and happiness in their lives through a path of self-love and spirituality. I knew I had a unique gift to offer and wanted full autonomy over how I shared that with my clients, so entrepreneurship was the only way to go! I worked jobs that gave me experience in sales, marketing, and admin, so I built up enough knowledge and confidence in myself to trust that I could take the leap in starting my own business. The final push happened shortly after getting back from co-hosting a mindfulness and yoga retreat in Ecuador May of 2022, only to return to a job that left me unfulfilled, frustrated, and fed up with the work environment drama. I thought, “If I can manifest my dream of hosting a retreat abroad, I can manifest my dream of starting my own coaching business.” So I quit my job and a month later began a Spiritual Life Coaching program, and a month after that hired a business coach to help me get started. All while professionally reading Birth Charts, for the first time. I knew I wanted to combine Astrology and Coaching in my business, so I started using coaching skills I had learned in the program with Astrology Clients. It’s taken a lot of trial and error, but I’ve found I learn best through experience and practice.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My work and my soul are very interlinked, so naturally what I have to offer is an unique as I am. I’ve worked very hard in my personal life to get to this place where I can be a safe harbor and guide for those who want more out of life, who want to live with joy, purpose, and connection. I’ve worked through and have overcome crippling anxiety, self-hatred, depression, and a loss sense of direction. I’ve upgraded my self-love, my relationships, my communities, my self-care, and my mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being. And I didn’t do it just for me and the quality of my life – I did it to be a light in this world.

My coaching is driven by my love for transformation, truth, and the expansion of our collective consciousness. As an empathetic, sensitive person navigating a very unhealed and patriarchal culture, my mission is to guide empaths in their return to love over fear–supporting them in their journey of healing from the pressures and trauma evoked by a society that conditions us to abandon our true selves. With the guidance of Astrology, Life Coaching, and mindfulness I help those on the path of awakening achieve greater confidence and acceptance of themselves and their gifts. I believe that when we can collectively heal, step into our power, and emanate a deep sense of love from within – we can heal ourselves, our relationships, and our communities at large.

This path is not one for the faint of heart. I’m proud of myself for continually doing the inner work, overcoming self-doubt, tuning out the nay-sayers, and believing in myself and my mission. I’ve disappointed others while following my authentic calling, and I’m OK with that. I’ve learned that not everyone will understand my purpose, and it may take me awhile to build my business and clientele, but it’s been a dream for years so it’s my duty to fulfill the calling. I will try, fail, learn, and try again as much as I need, to get this right. I trust it will all come together. My faith, vision, perseverance are what have gotten me to where I am today.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I was talking to my best friend from back home earlier today, so I’ve recently contemplated this question. I would show her a mix of nature, music, Denver city life, and my (now) home, Downtown Littleton (DTL as some of us locals call it!). I love this area so much – so we’d probably spend a whole day browsing the boutique shops of DTL, stopping for a coffee at my favorite café, Nook, and have a margarita and tacos on the outdoor patio at Palenque’s. I’m a member of the Botanic Gardens so visiting both their locations at Chatfield Farms and the Denver Botanic Gardens would be a must! The Denver location is the most heavenly place I’ve visited in the city. Then, depending on whose in town, I’d love to take her to a show so was can get our dance on. Red Rocks, Meow Wolf, and Mission Ballroom are my three favorite venues and each amazing in their own way. After a night of music and partying, I’d love to have a relaxing day tubing down the South Platte River in Littleton (NOT in Denver). There’s a 2 mile track that will allow for a couple hours of floating in the sun with the most beautiful and lush views and extensive bird watching. For a fancy meal out, I’d take her to Izakaya Den for some of Denver’s tastiest sushi.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
A person whose played a huge role in my success is my business and brand coach, Carly Cheton. I connected with her in Ecuador during the retreat I co-hosted, and while getting to learn about her background and that she helped people build their businesses, and got full body chills. I knew we we’re going to work together and she could help me take that leap. Almost every time we gathered in a circle during the retreat, her and I ended up sitting across from each other. Her bright energy and face smiling back at me was the most comforting thing as I led workshops, and I felt so connected with her. We’ve developed a friendship since her coaching me, and she still supports me and the growth of my business with great ideas, invitations to events, referrals, and booking readings with me. I would not have the confidence in my brand and my mission without her support. Love you, girl!
