We had the good fortune of connecting with Savanna Steinhoff and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Savanna, what matters most to you?
Enjoying life.
Life is living, we should enjoy as much of it as we can. Living our lives we all have human interactions, we should enjoy those moments.
They are precious.
Staying present in the moment keeps me creative and on my toes. I can quickly problem solve because I am able to pivot and turn. Something doesn’t work, pivot and try the next thing. This allows me to be witty, charming, & hospitable because I can sit in a moment and enjoy the human connection I am having with a person.
I love connection and conversations. People have lived hard & beautiful lives! I want to hear about them. They are all unique story’s & make us human. I appreciate sharing these stories and having these small connections whenever I can.
Or at least I try to.
It’s my goal to stay present and enjoy life as much as I can.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
I reflect on my passions, what brings me joy as an artist.
My niche falls under Performance & Education.

I act for stage/film, sing, dance and model.

I graduated from the University of Northern Colorado with a Theatre Education and Theatre Studies major, a Dance minor an Arts Entrepreneurship certification. To say the least I know the theatre and film industry well.

As an educator I am a forever learner.
My job as a Tour Guide at The Stanley Hotel offers me the opportunity to learn fun history and share stories! It’s an amazing time! I love telling story’s and educating people so this job is a dream to me!

When it comes to performance, my favorite genre of performing arts would be dance & movement.
I spring to see what we can create with our bodies, what we can communicate without words!
Dance is a beautiful art medium anyone can take anywhere & share with everyone.

Storytelling through movement is dear to my heart, it is something I want to choreograph, create, and perform.

I had the pleasure to direct, choreograph and preform in The Stages, a moment I created.

The Stages shows the journey I have had with loss and grief in early adulthood.
The process of understanding grief and connecting with people has changed my perspective on life. I would like to share it with the world.

I want everyone to recognize that we as humans all experience different emotions on different scales everyday, this doesn’t isolate us— it makes us human.
In loving memory of my father David Steinhoff.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Starting off with The Stanley Hotel.
I absolutely love this place & its history. The Stanley has amazing tours, bites, & sights to see. Opening day July 4th 1909 magic was preformed for its guest, magic has always been preformed at the grand heritage hotel in its glory days & we keep that tradition alive, The Underground holds live magic shows all year around. All summer long we have guest magicians in and out of this astounding Magick Theatre. I have had the pleasure to work at this theatre for 3 years, really amazing people & an amazing experience.

The Denver Botanical Gardens are absolutely breathtaking. I can go to this gorgeous garden all year around and see something spectacular. I really enjoy the classes they provide & films they show in their auditoriums. I love this place because they appreciate mindfulness and the beauty of simplicity in its natural state.

Denver Comedy Works and Denver Center for the Preforming Arts are always entertaining places to spend an evening out. Always new shows and performers and really efficient front of house staff, they do it well and treat their guest well.

Other than those, I try to get outside as much as I can. I highly recommend all the local parks and wildlife access areas you have around. The small trails and ponds tend to be the sweetest and calmest, give-em a chance.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
I have worked closely with
DeEscalated Pictures a Colorado based film production. -Movies from the Mountains
These are an amazing group of people to work with they are creative, diligent, and passionate on all their work.
I have worked with them as an SFX makeup artist on “Innate” a film by J. Jordan Parsons. I also worked with them as a supporting actress in “Field of Screams” a film by Evan Runkle and Alix Moad. Amazing projects!
Calvin Shepard, one of the owners is an amazing creative. He is constantly writing new scripts, working on new projects… making dreams a reality. DeEscalated Pictures wants to build a strong film industry here in Colorado. LA & NYC are amazing… but we need to see this work in the mountains. DeEscalated Pictures want to make that a reality.
