We had the good fortune of connecting with Shaeleigh Olive and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Shaeleigh, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
I wanted to create a salon space people have not experienced in the Lone Tree area. I created a completely custom luxurious experience for my clients. I made a space that can be tailored to the individual client and their needs.
What should our readers know about your business?
My passion for beauty started when I was a child. Every time I got my hair done, I felt like the most beautiful girl in the world. I wanted to provide that feeling for others. I began my professional journey in high school by attending cosmetology school. During school, I became certified in multiple typed of extensions. After graduation, I worked for multiple salons gaining experience. I helped to create an assistant program and taught new stylists entering the industry. Three years after graduation, I decided to step out and create SRO Co. Salon. Starting a business at 20 years old was a big jump for me. Learning how to run a business was a completely new challenge. My passion for the industry, and the help of my mentor, has fueled my success. When I started in this industry, my goal was to give women confidence and make them feel beautiful. Now as a business owner, I feel have the ability to do this 10 fold.
Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
I am a huge foodie! The Great Divide, Sazon, and Brian’s Dumpling House would be just a few restaurants on the list. Brother’s Bar is a great night out for drinks and live music. A Red Rocks show is an absolute must! It is one of my favorite places, and the best music venue ever. Heading into Denver, we’d hit Puttshack, Federales for tacos, then end the night at Zanzibar for pool. Another fave stop is the Boulder Farmer’s market and lunch at The Sink.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Hair Lingerie has been a huge part in my success. Not only is it the best hair in the world, but the business and mentoring program has helped me succeed. It has allowed me to take my business to the next level.
