We had the good fortune of connecting with Sofia Lindroth and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Sofia, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I wanted to open a business that didn’t quite exist in the Vail Valley yet. We have yoga studios, but this business was more designed to be a Wellness Studio. A “one stop shop” if you will for your mind, body, and soul.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
The last 7 years of my career have been dedicated to learning about the human body and how we can get out of pain: physically, mentally, and emotionally. I went to massage school and opened my own practice where I started working on people and learning more about anatomy, physiology, and each persons experiences with pain. I started seeking more knowledge by doing many continuing education courses which led me to learning about fascia and the layers of possibility within the system. I then became a Myofascial Release therapist and Integrative massage therapist combining techniques to best suit each person and what they were dealing with. My interest in fascia led me to the MELT Method which I got certified to be an instructor and started teaching at local studios. The many layers of fascia, energy work, trauma & emotional components that I have been exploring in my career as a body worker has made me value even more all of the ways we can take care of ourselves. Whether it is through physical exercise, yoga, MELT, meditation and more, I realized that the true key to a better life was approaching our wellbeing from multiple directions. There really is no one size fits all formula, each individual needs and benefits from different things.
That is what led me to opening up The Vitality Collective. It is a place where you can get a high intensity workout, take an amazing yoga class, doing self myofascial release with the MELT Method, or learning about breath and mindfulness through movement and meditation. Regulation of our nervous system is a big reason all of these things exist and in doing so our mental health benefits greatly. All of the pieces came together over time realizing there are so many tools for us to approach our wellbeing.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
If my bestie came to visit me in Eagle, I would take them back to Sylvan Lake State Park to camp for a night explore the wilderness and hike the trails, we would also go to the Eagle River Park and take a swim in the river & hang out at the beach. We take a class at the Vitality collective, followed by a visit to inner light juice and color coffee for our daily beverage/ places to spend time and catch up. I would also take them to Capitol street for dinner where we can choose from Wild Sage, El Segundo, or Social Oak for a great dinner on the patio!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like to give a shout out to my former business partner Hannah Knauer. Opening this business wouldn’t have been possible without her, and together we really made this vision and dream come to life. It is such a special community gathering space thanks to collaborating with her and cultivating such an intentional business together.
