We had the good fortune of connecting with Stefan Nicolae and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Stefan, how do you think about risk?
Overall, everything about my musical journey has been and will be a risk, from what I write, to shows I perform to the people I work with. However when it comes to my team, that’s a risk I’m happy I took because they never let me down.
Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I see myself as a lyrical rapper. I’m trying to break through the mainstream with my underground/bilingual and aggressive style. I moved to the US at the age of 16 from Romania where I was able to pack venues and sell out shows; had to start it all from scratch. It was definitely difficult but worth every moment of it.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’d have to say Garden of the Gods, the place where I got married; Helen hunt falls and probably Sunshine Studios Live.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are quite a few. But wont mention them all. A book that did help me out a lot was “Road Rash by Mark Huntley Parsons.
A group is definitely Linkin Park because of the amazing energy that they would show at every concert..
When it comes to people the ones that deserve the most credit are my wife, Takoda, who always supported and believed in me and my boss/producer/one of my best friends Jahsue who would always challenge me to go out of my comfort zone, help me and mentor me.
